No it's your media. It's used to divide people. It's been going on before trump was ever on the political scene. there is a certain point, cant pin point exactly when. I was in highschool and not paying attention but americans began adopting more and more "extreme" ideas. It starts with silly widley adopted statements like "All white people are racist", "there is no Neutral on a moving train", "A black person can't be racist" "check your privilage" ect. Statements like this cause a divide in people and who, are genuinely not racist/bigoted feel under attack then feel the need to defend themselves. It creates sides you have to stand on. All these things slowly but surely begin to polarize individuals. Terms like "anti-vaxxer" which is a term the media created intentionally to divide people with dishonest language gets people to hate eachother. then, the politicians pander to those audiences. Nuance is removed. Everything becomes black or white. you're on my side or you're the ememy. people have turned against eachother. I think social media has a lot to do with it as well. It's all about clicks, comments, likes and engagement. Controversial content is far more engaging. the country hates trump as president but the news cycle loves it because he says such depraved and outragous things, It draws attention it gets people engaged, People get passionate, then they lose themselves to hate. Donald trump didn't create this. he captialized on it.

They escalated and panicked her when she was behind the wheel with keys in the ignition. The entire situation including the near miss collision, was their fault from the second they started attacking her.

Most of it is social media imo. As much as people like to blame Fox and CNN or whoever, people are going down these rabbit holes on social media (left and right), being fed an algorithm of accounts that feed into confirmation bias for what they suspected anyway and go "Aha, I was right"

I don't think many people are saying that the lady didn't make some poor decisions and put herself in danger. The issue is the danger was woefully incompetent law enforcement which in an ideal world wouldn't be a danger.

Any competent coppers would have her a couple of blocks down the road with a stinger and tbh it probably wouldn't have even needed that as once she'd made the initial decision to flee, if the cops are behind people then they can think "what the fuck am I doing?" and pull over.
