No it's your media. It's used to divide people. It's been going on before trump was ever on the political scene. there is a certain point, cant pin point exactly when. I was in highschool and not paying attention but americans began adopting more and more "extreme" ideas. It starts with silly widley adopted statements like "All white people are racist", "there is no Neutral on a moving train", "A black person can't be racist" "check your privilage" ect. Statements like this cause a divide in people and who, are genuinely not racist/bigoted feel under attack then feel the need to defend themselves. It creates sides you have to stand on. All these things slowly but surely begin to polarize individuals. Terms like "anti-vaxxer" which is a term the media created intentionally to divide people with dishonest language gets people to hate eachother. then, the politicians pander to those audiences. Nuance is removed. Everything becomes black or white. you're on my side or you're the ememy. people have turned against eachother. I think social media has a lot to do with it as well. It's all about clicks, comments, likes and engagement. Controversial content is far more engaging. the country hates trump as president but the news cycle loves it because he says such depraved and outragous things, It draws attention it gets people engaged, People get passionate, then they lose themselves to hate. Donald trump didn't create this. he just captialized on it.

The root cause of this specific issue is the training of ICE agents, and their protocols, and what this Administration is letting them get away with.

Why do we have untrained ICE agents in military garb, with facemask on, armed, and not wearing bodycams? Can you give me a valid answer on why every ICE agent DOESN'T HAVE A BODYCAM?

Why are these ICE agents attempting to enforce traffic laws? They CAN'T do that.

There are in fact allowances for federal agents to be deputized at local/state level, which would allow them jurisdiction on things like traffic. That's an entirely separate discussion and some shifty shifty shit but it exists. I haven't heard if any of the agents involved were in this situation but be prepared for that to be something the Feds announce, regardless of whether it was true or not.

What makes it even more fun is that at least a few of them call out the other side for refusing to admit fault.

Part of the issue is the deliberate utilization of language to make things sound more or less serious to fit whatever agenda a person has.
When someone says they were "hit" by a car, what that looks like generally has a pretty clear image in most people's minds. It sure as shit isn't what was in that video. I wouldn't need multiple video angles to know if someone actually got hit by a car that was trying to run them over.
Couple that with people calling her a terrorist, and acting like she was intentionally driving at him to kill him and it makes this whole argument dishonest bullshit.

Did the vehicle and man make some sort of physical contact? Yes. But how we define that contact dramatically changes the conversation.
People can debate on what the most appropriate verb was, but it wasn't "hit".
"The car grazed/tapped/brushed against the man as it turned in the opposite direction before the masked thug put a bullet in the woman's face" doesn't sound as sexy of a headline for ICE though.

he was "bumped" because he needed to be in position to shoot her.

I know what hes referring to, but I dont think hes arguing that she did not behave stupidly and did not pay a giant price for it , which is what youd have to be arguing in order to point that one sentence out.

I dont think its hyperbole because I think she did make stupid decisions and did pay a dramatic price for it. As opposed to saying she tried to murder someone, whch she didnt. Or saying the officer is some sort of jack booted nazi murderer, which he is not.

I think you can debate weather the shooting was necessary but that It is a good as in legal shooting. I understand why the officer thought he needed to do that. I'm not happy some liberal lesbian got killed but I do think she got herself killed.

Lawful, but awful. You are correct. She 100% used a deadly weapon on an officer who probably put himself in harm's way. But that is why you don't break the law and block roads as an "Ice watch Warrior."
