ICE agents DO NOT have the authority to deal with traffic violations, such as illegally parked vehicles. So their only other recourse is to arrest/detain individuals for obstruction. However, that obstruction requires the interference to be forcible. Could the ICE agents have simply driven around her and ignored her? Was there any other way for them to avoid this interference? Her obstruction was passive, not forcible. They were very likely obligated to either go around her, find another way, or wait it out and call local law enforcement. But by no means did they have the right to draw their weapons and escalate this incident to deadly force.

If you think the ICE agents attempting to detain her is cut and dried, then you are wrong. Her 1st and 4th amendment rights were very likely violated here. That could make their attempted detention unconstitutional.

Well the most interesting thing is if actual lawyers can get this wrong maybe random people on a karate forum can get this wrong. I was just using that post as an easy explanation since I stumbled on it but you obviously disagree. I'm not really interested in getting into a long debate on our interpretation around the specific wording in statues since its going to be a colossal waste of time arguing opinions on meaning because this sure as fuck isn't the first time people have gotten into long debates on the word 'forcibly' or 'impedes' regarding 18 U.S.C. § 111 in the past 24 hours. I've already seen the long debates on it next thing you know we are debating shit like Lennon vs Miller and its 2am and nothing was solved.

I'll just leave it like this. We don't even have to debate it because given how much attention is on this incident if you are correct we are going to know. But anyone reading this wants to go with your advice that you are good to go and do the fuck around find out plan with various branches of federal agents and do your own interperation of what you think is a traffic stop and your rights...etc. knock yourself out.
