Completely legitimate to shoot a driver if you feel your life is at risk.. whether or not thats the situation here. No opinion. But its definetly a legal option.
DHS policy "generally" prohibits federal agents from discharging firearms for the purpose of disabling a moving vehicle.
- The policy includes an exception for when someone is "threatening deadly force" with a moving vehicle.
- Federal officials say the ICE agent involved in Wednesday's shooting followed his training after being attacked. Witnesses argue the woman was shot while trying to turn around.

Additional Considerations
1. DHS LEOs are permitted to use force that is reasonable in light of the
totality of the circumstances. This standard does not require LEOs to meet force
with equal or lesser force.
2. DHS LEOs do not have a duty to retreat to avoid the reasonable use of
force, nor are they required to wait for an attack before using reasonable force to
stop a threat.
I Dont know where some of the claims being made are coming from honestly. Its a simple read
