The guy he's linking to is one of the most physically and morally revolting people alive. He literally brags about living in filth, using the stench of a dead rat as an alarm clock, advocates for the genocide of Palestinians, and regularly calls for live rounds to be used in protesters in the US. If someone is citing him to back up their argument, it tells you everything you need to know about them (among other things, the fact that you shouldn't engage with them under any circumstance).

Based on the video evidence it was not a murder, she put herself in that situation and the ICE agents handled the situation.

Thats not how murder charges work. Putting yourself in a situation where you may get shot does not pardon the shooter of murder.

If you walk up to a cop during an investigation, get in his face, and act like a general nuisance then you're putting yourself in a position where you can be shot. If the cop shoots you then the act of putting yourself in that situation doesn't justify the killing. You still have to consider all the other factors.

In this case, the woman made bad choices and ended up putting herself in a dangerous situation. However, at the time she was shot she was out of the way of anyone and fleeing. Shots were only fired when no one was in immediate harms way. That is where the problem lies.

There is ongoing attempts to transition to "Move, Don't Shoot" policy. If you've watched many police encounter videos you'll find officers cleared for less than what this video captured. It's possible to understand why officers should be justified in lethal force in this situation but also believe it's piss poor practice. The recent Supreme Court decision in Barnes v. Felix should accelerate the shift toward better policy, though old habits die hard.

Dont know. She was apparently protesting and blocking the road (but video shows her letting cars pass by her so theres more context to this West dont have). Agents approached her, she tried to maneuver around them and flee. Agent shot her from the side window after she turned. Thats all we know.

Yep. I didn't typically think of America as a country that placed a low value on human life like a lot of other countries do but situations like this being deemed acceptable are making me reassess that opinion.
