Brännfors just decisioned Landi at Ice Cage 6. Some nice slams, some good grappling (took the back for quite some time in all rounds) tried to finish with chokes and GNP, but couldn’t. Some very rudimentary striking.

Probably nothing on social media yet. The decision was announced about 30 seconds ago.

Edit:

So, I’ll admit these four have piqued my interest, but it takes more than 4 people to get a division going, especially as spread out as they are. Not to mention, Robleedo moved down to bantam for her last fight, shown in the post.

Yeah. Not exactly a talent-rich division no matter how someone tries to sell it. But soon we will have the "if you build it they will come" clowns popping off ignoring that the biggest MMA promotions in the world have tried to build it for 20 years and it has done nothing but fail. Other sports have far more to offer athletic women of this size plus there is the "not getting punched in the face" thing which many seem to appreciate.

I'm sure all 4 will be forced in the ufc bw if they want to go anywhere.

Speaking of WBW UFC is looks better than it has in a long time.
Cavalcanti at 28 is surely going to get a top fight now.
Santos at 25 is coming into her own in the UFC
Edwards still only 30 looks to have finally absorbed enough from training with shev to move up the ranks.
Zhelezyakova 29 looks like she will keep moving up the ranks too.
And hopefully Pereria after a terrible start, uses her 12k show money to be much beter her 2nd fight like her coach says.
Bella is getting closer to a ufc debut maybe 2026 is the year.

happy new year sherbuds! usually i like to come up with a year-end wrap but honestly, wmmarankings on insta has picked much of the same stuff i was gonna use (with only a couple of differences) check it out here: https://www.instagram.com/wmmarankings/

i still want to reflect on 2025 in wmma so will write a little something, most likely a health check on the divisions.
