I was gonna say she’s up there in age, but I’m once again reminded that she’s only 29(!), so it’s an option, although she’ll wanna pick up a win first.

If RIZIN is serious about starting a strawweight division, she’d be a great signing, but I doubt they are, so they probably won’t

I was hoping Robertson would get this fight she even called her out after her last win. Maybe she can still get Yan who i think she can out grapple if things go well.

I also thought Dern and Suarez made more sense. Guess Dern will have another rematch then.


Almost felt like Jaz stepping up vs the previous title challenger should main Vancouver. If Jaz can win that it will be the biggest UFC Canadian moment since Rory was a contender.

At 29, I really just want her to go to the UFC for a bit. Shes one of the more violent WMMA fighters & I feel like the UFC fan base would appreciate that right now. I don’t think she’d ever win a title, but she could have fun fights.

Don’t want it, but I could see her signing with PFL for a few fights at 125 too.

I have to imagine Montague is a tough matchup for Carolina. Outside of the age, she’s easily the best prospect they’ve signed since Cavalacanti or Perez.

KanaGOAT's comeback was a little disappointing; good rd 1, mid rd 2, and in rd 3 she did f00king nothing. At least she got the W and hopefully it was just cage-rust after 2 years out (and Ediana Silva being a difficult fighter to look good against) and her next performance will be improved and enhanced (perhaps against Maria Silva, who it seems she was booked against first; a better fighter but an easier matchup). Then find a few more Silvas to crush, then back to UFC for Gold.

Let’s take this fighter with very little pro experience (3-0, 1 NC) and give her an undeserved title shot in a division she[s never fought in before, after she blew the catchweight in her last fight. What could possibly go wrong?

Gotta think they planned for this, because otherwise the incompetence is beyond explanation
 
honestly i have no idea where they even find these girls for izawa to crush. maybe the demise of ONE will send some atomweights to RIZIN? hope so.

She’s from Road FC, so right across the East Sea. Road sends fighters to RIZIN all the time.



Speaking of ONE, Macarena Aragon must fight for super cheap. This will be her fourth fight for ONE in less than a year.

Saw some comments from Ditcheva about her new contract with PFL- something that really popped up was her commenting that she wanted to make sure PFL understands how serious she is, quality of opponents etc... but apparently she also demanded for the new contract - that there are time tables/schedules for fights. I read that as equivalent for UFC's "has to offer x fights per year" type of clause... which made me wonder.

Do people actually sign exclusive contracts with these 3rd rate promotions with no firm clause of actually getting fights? Or is Dakota's comment to be taken more like "I want quality opponents and I want those on a sensible timetable" than just "gimme fights so I don't have to sit on my fist"?

Pfl/Bellator as far as I can tell never offered an x/fight offers per year. Most fighters probably never saw it as a big deal until they merged and now nobody fights. Bellator was consistent getting people in 1-3 fights regardless of price and pfl tournament guaranteed 2+ fights.
