Apparently, she was there last month.

edit: Upon further investigation, it appears she did her entire camp with John Wood and/or other parts of the Syndicate gang.

As an Esparza fan, this is the best news I’ve had all week.

Fight announcement:

Jessica :nene diversifying her portfolio/skill set:

Good move, as retirement nears, but it’s funny because of the stereotype that real estate is everyone’s fall back job.

Zhang has her whole team she travels with. I am sure if anything she did padwork with the Syndicate coach. I doubt he has some major role in her camp except being close to the UFC PI. This is just me an MMA casual these days but stilling giving my opinion on the situation.

My picks:
Carla Esparza vs. Weili Zhang. Zhang by KO
Erin Blanchfield vs. Molly McCann. Blanchfield by Sub
Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Silvana Gómez Juárez. Juárez by KO

I want Zhang to win, but I have a bad feeling Carla is going to surprise some people (I don't know why I feel that way).

Blanchfield subs Meatball, but again...I have a weird feeling about this one.

Karolina has been finished for awhile, I think she gets subbed here.

These are my picks and im sticking to them like a lollipop to a velour track suit lol.

Yeah they probably told the translator just to say something useful instead of whatever John Wood was saying.

I do have the weird feeling that McCann might piece up Blanchfield on the feet, not unlike Aldrich. Difference being McCann is a dog, she's got power and no quit. Aldrich is soft.

I wouldn't be shocked if Blanchfield vs McCann is way more competitive than it is on paper.

If Gomez-Suarez hurts Karolina, I'll be waiting for her at the lobby of her hotel, with a Karen wig on and my phone in hand.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if McCann has Cold Blooded in trouble early. The difference will be that Blanchfield isn’t the walk over McCann’s recent opponents have been

Need to embrace your inner Tony Danza, show her who’s the boss
I feel old knowing what this refers to...

If anyone can be mad when Karolina wins you are an even more miserable old bastard than I am.
:)
except that she'll keep fighting and will probably get wiped out by one of the SW prospects... :(

As an Erin fanboy from Invicta I will caution people to not get too hyped for this win. It was the perfect fight for her to be showcased. Erin's ceiling will be determined by how she does against a striker with good takedown defense and a fighter that is very athletic. Its the same dilemma Dern is working through. If she passes those test with flying colors than she just might be the real deal.

It was a good night. KK wow]n, avoiding the hardest shots from Gomez Jaurez, Blanchfield destroyed McCann, and while Esparza lost ( :( ) , it wasn’t anywhere near the total destruction all the tarps were promising. She did okay, in all honesty. Got pressured, but kept Zhang on her toes with her jab (Looked like Zhang was bleeding from nose or mouth a little), had some top control in the first. Zhang then took it with the last 30-40 seconds. 2nd round, Esparza went for the TD, but Weili too slick, and Esparza couldn’t get her arm out to defend properly. Oh well.
