maybe she could hang around and mentor some of the younger fighters at ATT? just to stay close to the game. if i was training at ATT you fucking bet i'd be motivated to go into the gym. and what kk said about jj helping her get her groove back, that sounded so fucking sweet and awesome (it's been a year for heartbreaking speeches this year hasn't it). staying gone would preserve her legacy as well - she is one of the greats

that said, i can see why she'd think about coming back - jj could probably beat everyone except rose and weili, who are currently 1 & 2.

but i hope she stays retired with happy memories of her career :)

Yeah lately I’ve not had social media accounts connected or always logged in. Gotta say I like it this way. Keeps me more chill. To each their own.

I can understand that point of view. At the same time refs gotta ref. It doesn’t seem like a clear cut issue to me. Or even that big of one.

Agree. The more things change in that division the more her colossal record of continuous title defenses stand out. She rarely gave a dud performance.

I’ve seen a few talking heads try to downplay her title defenses, saying she faced easy comp in a young division, etc, yet can’t come up with a reason why, if the champs now are so much better, they can;t accrue more than a single defense.

‘Even funnier, those who say Joanna took advantage of a weak division often play up Shevchenko’s reign o_O

I shake my head every time I hear that, Joanna trashed 2 of the former champs herself, and the rest of that "easy competition" has multiple wins over Rose and Carla. Weili might join the club on Saturday if she's not careful.

Well since @Xuh misled me about the Pascual fight Carla's not even getting a sympathy vote ....... Zhang for the win.

I can't see Meatball resisting the ponderous, unathletic but unstoppable Blanchfield tidal wave.

I wonder what the matchmaker was thinking when he made the Karolina fight ..... something along the lines of the Argentinian girl has got quite a wallop and KK is a bit fragile, let's have a highlight reel ko. I won't argue.

I fully expect to be wrong on the last pick as it is purely wishful thinking.
 
Picking Carla by decision. In a rational world, Carla gets casually wrecked in whatever way Weili wants. However, we live in a world where the Syndicate MMA curse exists, and so far no one's been able to escape it.

No clue on Blanchfield vs. McCann, I'm not sold on Erin as an A-grade prospect and McCann has been showing steady improvements in her game.

Thinking Silvana by TKO, Karolina's skills looked improved in her last fight but I don't think she has her old toughness & durability anymore. She's still fairly easy to hit and Silvana has the power to knock her silly.
