Watched LFA for the Aline Pereira fight, it was her MMA debut so a lot of rough spots were expected, especially in clinching & grappling since she comes from a kickboxing background. Takedown defence wasn't terrible, but breaking the clinch and getting off the fence was a serious problem as was keeping the range open to land her strikes. She badly needs a jab to keep opponents from bumrushing her into the fence and setup her own strikes along with learning what an underhook is and how to use it to get off the fence. Also seems to be lacking a bit in strength & speed so she's going to have problems fighting off determined grapplers. So...some promising signs with her power & accuracy, but needs a lot of work and there's not much time for her.
Tough debut for Bleda, she ran into a faster, more skilled, and fundamentally sound fighter. Natalia had some brain farts along the way with her willingness to engage in the clinch, but unlike Aline she knows what an underhook is and how to use it to get off the fence. Silva did her job in the standup and got a nice finish. Not really gonna judge Bleda on her debut, Octagon jitters are real and fighters often have a rough start unless they've being groomed by UFC management, recall that Taila Santos lost her debut against Mara Romero Borella and look where she's at now.
Demopoulos fight got a bit ugly in the 3rd, Vanessa was running for her life in the last couple minutes and eating some clean strikes. She's gonna have to learn better defence along with how to point fight when she's ahead instead of going passive and getting chased down and hit.
Moroz did about what I thought she would do given the grappling threat from Maia, she mostly boxed and didn't really use her kicks. Maia on the other hand looked better than she has in a while, she was faster & lighter on her feet and most importantly, she was more willing to extend her combos & engage. Maia's boxing is pretty decent, her problem is she has a hard time getting into boxing range and when she does get there she doesn't throw enough before resetting to the outside. This time, she was a lot better at getting into range and throwing combos when she got there. She also used her head movement to stay in the pocket and continue throwing & landing punches instead of resetting to the outside. Moroz also got a bit too predictable which got her nailed with a bunch of right hands, and the lack of kicks made it too easy for Maia to find her range.
