Winter sucks.

I knew it. Yeah, it’s fucking cold there. You’re on the mountain.
I have to basically drive into the mountains for work too, so it's pretty fucked. Just getting out of Reno took about 2.5 hours and I live at the edge of town.

That’s why I take the bus. Do they have a bus system in Reno? I’d imagine they do.

My wife has been working in her spot for 20 years and she says the same thing sir.
You're not alone.
We're all just gettin thru this shit the best we can. I'm just grateful I got this job and I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. Been a minute since anything has gone right so I can't mess this up.

Buncha slack jaw F@%$&÷s

Winter is the best. I absolutely love it. Of course it doesnt snow here and after some rain like yesterday I cant think of any thing better to do that enjoy the Ca sunshine with some good dirt like we did today

They do but it's not convenient. Fortunately I've had a car since I moved out here so I haven't had to worry about that. Problem is you have to use the freeway to get to many places. When there's a crash which there is basically every day that there's weather, it adds hours to your commute and there's really no way around it.

Well yeah if I wasn't driving like 4 hours a day in the snow it would be all good lol.

You got this brother, you're not a pussy ;)
Just showing up and working hard seems to be good enough so far. TBH with you I was at a low point when I got this job.

Had really given up on myself and only applied so I could tell myself I was doing SOMETHING. Felt like I just knew it wouldn't work out.

But just getting real paychecks again has helped a lot. When you have resources you can make plans

You're one of the real ones around here sir, you will always have us.
Not that it's everything but you have helped me, and I will always try to help you.

That's what brothers do big guy.

Thanks friend it's good to know I've helped in some way. I've got some hope again the sherbros were there for me in a tough year. It feels good to make some big changes at the start of a year, feels like I got momentum now I just got to keep going.

Yup. Was -13 with Snow pellets here in Toronto, took me an hour to get to work downtown. Summer? Took me 25 mins. Canada is awful lol.

Ouch. I don't think I could stay. Is that low enough to need an engine block heater
so you can start your car in the morning?

It is sir, but not every time.
I was staying at a friends house inland at that point.
We stood indoors for the few days it was that cold.

I was the wood chopper so I got to go outside once a day lol.
When I got back home I lived on the coast it was -10 with a -5 wind chill...felt like summer lol.

Didn't get that cold all the time but that week was fuckin rough.
You get used to it to be perfectly honest sir.

I loved New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island. & Mass. It was just a shock to someone who lived in California their whole life. I spent a couple of months there in the Winter.

Yeah if you're not a pansy you get used to it.
I had a chick come see me when I was 22 years old, she was from Hawaii and she wouldn't even leave the house lol.

3.5 hr drive prolly both ways, 13 hour day, and when I get to work there's gonna be like ten people there lol.

We got you big guy, now you know we're here.
