I think there is some confusion from some of the more aggressive right wingers. I don't believe the PEOPLE are pushing back against the idea of finding wasteful spending. Why would a citizen say it's a good thing. A POLITICIAN might be worried of being found out, but I feel like there's a lot of conflation with people being against the idea vs being against the method. I'm all for cutting government waste but we need to know that Musk is doing an honest, fair, transparent, and ethical job and not simply targeting political agencies he and Trump have ideological differences with.

or you could read data and not rely on anecdotal evidence like an adult. that said, yes, i've talked to plenty of people who lived under tito in the former yugoslavia as well as children of people who lived under him. their lives were immeasurably better under tito.

i've also talked to plenty of cuban americans whose parents and grandparents lived under both batista and castro and they left cuba because they couldn't have slave plantations anymore lol

He also correctly understands that an unelected billionaire shutting down parts of the government is fine and totally legal, and that Elon/Trump are looking out for the average person's best interests which is how they built their immense wealth in the first place, like with Trump's crypto.

Shedding trillions of dollars from the budget won't be a problem nor have any deleterious effects, and him being investigated for labor violations and whatnot from the institutions he's trying to shut down is fine, not to mention him doing business around the world including with China, no conflicts of interest at all.
