A good deal of government spending is bloated and/or allocated in no productive ways, IMO.

having said that...pretty much this. Republicans are going to do whatever they can to deconstruct what little social safety net exists in the US, sell our futures down the river, for the almost sole benefit of the upper class. It's already been a net positive imo. Is it dangerous, yes. Will it be disruptive, yes. Will good things get the hammer, probably. Will there be people taking advantage of it at our expense, yep...but the US government has become entirely too corrupt. I've been waiting my entire life for some meaningful change at the federal level and if comes via trump, Elon and the right side of isle, so be it.
