I'm not like some huge Melania fan so I don't really want to get into an argument where I'm defending her. It was just an interesting observation. People knew her name before she was the first Lady. Nobody knew Michelle Obama, or Jill Biden, or Laura Bush, or Hilary Clinton, or Barbara Bush...

It’s tribal. She was definitely more known in her profession other recent First Ladies. She can still F off with her story and movie. Nobody cared about those other First Ladiesat all and let’s not pretend they were special either.

I'm no model expert, but I was around in the 90's. Cindy Crawford, Kathy Ireland, Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss, etc etc

Those were the top models of the day (I'm sure I'm missing plenty)

I'd give credit where it's due, but I had never heard of Melania as some world class model ever.

She wasn't as famous as those chicks but I thought she was in the swimsuit edition of sports illustrated which was a big deal at the time. If you make it in that issue then you're probably one of the top 20 models that year.

Michelle Obama was never in the top 20 lawyers in the country.

The opportunity was facilitated by a law that restricted cigarette ads to only depict people above the age of 25, excluding most aspiring models

She was not well known as a model in the 90ties.
The 90ties had some very famous models and she was not one of them.

Modeling was a competitive field in the 90's.

Anyone who can be in the top 20 or so in a competitive field has accomplished something.

She was in the sports illustrated swimsuit issue before she married Trump, and apparently she was on the sports illustrated swimsuit calendar the following year.

The funniest shit is Trump posted on Monday stating the film is "a MUST WATCH" and claiming tickets are "selling out, FAST!". Also, my buddy in England said nobody is going to see it in theaters there. Said like 10 total tickets were sold
