Idk if he has better striking thats all assumptions till they get in the cage. I think he can spam takedowns while mixing some kicks and punches to a UD on Dunham or even tap him out.

Like I said maybe. I never said Held was a bum it's just a stretch to call him great is all. Beating him isn't some huge win, it's okay. It's a good win it's not great.

I think he could be competitive and possibly beat against Dunham, Magomedov, Iaquinta, Dariush, and Chiesa possibly. He is getting better each time he fights.

I haven't seen enough of Rashid so I'm not sure. Dunham maybe, Iaquinta doesn't have great sub defense maybe. Dariush and Chiesa beat him pretty easily in my opinion.

Pretty sure he got dropped against Danny Castillo, Anthony Njokuani (I think he got dropped by a spinning wheel kick at the end of the fight but I cant remember), Jamie Varner, Donald Cerrone, Tony Ferguson, and maybe Bobby Green but I can't remember.

Barboza was the one who landed that spinning wheel kick on Njokuani, not the other way around. Njokuani never rocked him.

Cerrone did drop him, as did Varner, but thats it for his UFC career (and MMA in general). Ferguson didn't drop him, Bobby Green sure as hell didn't hurt him in any way. Castillo did hit him with a couple of good shots in a row but he was never knocked down. He hit him with everything and the kitchen sink, but all of that happened as the result of a takedown, hence the fight has one knockdown recorded and its on Barboza's side, not Danny's.


Sherdog would lead you to believe he gets dropped every fight. Other people just jump on the narrative but it's happened twice in his whole career.

When Will beat him he was on a 6 fight win streak. He beat guys like Patricky Freire, Alexander Sarnavskiy, Derek Anderson. He finished 5 out the 6 and won the Bellator LW torny if my memory serves me right. The guy is very dangerous and yes it was a big win, especially if you watch the fight where Will Brooks basically fought him on the ground the whole fight which is crazy cause the kid rips peoples legs off and beat him at his own game.

Yes and yes I have. Watched both. The first fight could have went to Chandler, most media outlets scored it for him. Brooks is behind Edson in the pecking order. The guy just debuted and beat Pearson. Barboza is above that right now.

Credit to him I already said it's a good win. I just don't think Held would do much in the UFC. Brooks is a much better athlete and fighter than Held is, no knock on Marcin I just think he's good not great.

Held is weak. Leglock specialist pretty much the Ian Entwhistle of Bellator. Chandler is a great win but Brooks arguably lost their first fight. Lol at Brooks being #1.

held has improved massively and continuously. beginning with the machaev fight, he has shown major growth in all aspects of his game. this is readily apparent by comparing his fights with jansen in 2013 and 2016.

actually you said it wasnt a great win. If you actually followed Bellator at the time and knew what Held was doing to people you wouldnt of said that. Beating Held was an amazing win especially beating him at his own game the ground game. The kid is very dangerous and would make some noise in the UFC without a doubt.

Fair enough. All I said was I don't think he is great. Don't think that's an outrageous comment. He's great at what he does but he is pretty limited both on his feet and with his wrestling. Basically likes pulling guard and rolling for leglocks. Who has success with that strategy in the UFC?

Like I said he wouldn't be top 10. That's not a slight on him you're just talking about by far one of the best weight classes in the UFC. Held doesn't have enough tools in his box to threaten those guys.

Patricky Freire, Alexander Sarnavskiy, Derek Anderson. Were some of Bellators best Lws when he beat them. He won the Bellator Lw tournament and was finishing guys left and right.
