Will an Indian ever hold a UFC strap?

Same deal as China. Once they break into those markets and get people interested enough to have a decent talent pool, I think we'll see these countries start to take over. Their population pool is too big to not have any decent MMA talent come from them.

Its not bizarre at all considering the topic title. What else are we suppose to be discussing

You said UFC signed Bhullar just to expand their market in India.
They signed him because he became a champ in BFL. The UFC has signed a few champions from Battlefield. Will Bhullar ever be champ in UFC? Probably not. Will any fighter from BFL ever be UFC champ? Maybe. They are a solid local organization who have become a feeder to the UFC like many others. Signing a decent prospect is just what the UFC does.

There no agenda beyond signing a winning fighter.

Indeed. they are obsessed with pakistanis. I think thats the only competition they care about. beating pakistanis in cricket or kabaddi or anything hahah

He was fighting some Chinese opponent, and flat out went racist. Called him "a chinese product" and how "Chinese product don't last long." That type of shit would never fly in boxing in other countries.

India's national sport is cricket, daylight second, and they still aren't even the best at cricket in the world. I don't see an Indian Bones Jones in their future.

It's like asking why aren't there successful American cricketers. Nobody cares about the sport here. But even the mildly successful ones in India are millionares.
Sure, but I bet if Americans took interest in it they would produce top cricket players pretty quick.

That's not true. Just look how great civilizations have come and gone. In a short 100 years from now, things will look very different all around the globe.

What great civilizations are you talking about? A bunch of warlords who build tall things out of rock while the populations died of starvation and common diseases?

And what exactly is gonna look that different in 100 years?

I doubt it.

Here is a video of a third world filipino overpowering a indian canadian that trains at tristar in canada and lives in first world conditions with proper training and adequate nutrition. The third world filipino disposes of the indian with ease. Look at the difference in power, speed and chin

Indians are even overpowerd by other groups that are new to mma

Chinese overpowers indian champions (remember this is an indian champion)

East asians are not even at the level of the UFC american and brazilian fighters so you can only imagine how low the level of the indians are athletically

Filipinos can be physical beasts, just look at Pacquiao.

The only way an Indian will hold a UFC strap is if they manage to con the champion out of it on a scam phone call pretending to be Dana....

Isn't Yair a mix of Indian / Hispanic? he might qualify.....If Edgar gets cut...

Well, in a distant future if someone sets up a gym in India that has a partnership with american gyms and can send their best fighters to get better training, maybe.
10 or even 20 years from now, no.
If you consider children of indian parents but living in the US or Canada as indians than the chances grow a bit.

You mean Super Fight League isn’t cutting it?

Punch kick wow. Take him to the ground with the dishon dishon now... SUPER FIGHT LEAGUE

Maybe not but due to the leather industry exports, its likely than an Indian MADE the belts
(Majority of the worlds boxing and combat sports gloves and gear gets made in Pakistan and India)
