Wilder Knocks Corner, Uniform, Kenny Bayless

“I’ve told them many times that if anyone throws the towel in on me, there will be consequences,” Wilder told The Athletic. “If I say I’m going in there to try to kill a man, I accept that in return.”

As far as the fight itself, it became one-sided after Fury scored a third-round knockdown that left Wilder bleeding from his ear and with a shaky equilibrium. Wilder said his legs were already compromised by the elaborate 40-pound costume he wore to honor Black History month during his walk to the ring. According to Yahoo Sports, Wilder’s jaw was not broken and the blood from his ear was from a cut that needed to be closed with stitches and not an issue with his eardrum.

“He didn’t hurt me at all, but the simple fact is … that my uniform was way too heavy for me,” Wilder told Yahoo Sports. “I didn’t have no legs from the beginning of the fight. In the third round, my legs were just shot all the way through.”

Wilder also took aim at referee Kenny Bayless for him not confronting Fury, who also licked blood off The Bronze Bomber’s neck during the fight, over numerous punches to the back of the head. The punches were something Wilder claimed Bayless told him during the pre-fight rules explanation would get him disqualified.

Wilder landed a few to the back of Fury's head on the break but didn't lose any points. Bayless was giving him breaks too

Man is there something Wilder won't be blaming here soon Bayless is a great official, and you can tell a referee that all you want but if he were to actually die in there (entirely a possibility with how badly he was getting his butt whooped) the referee would be the first one everyone looks at and blames. What's wrong with admitting Fury was the better man that night and just move on.

This is just beautiful on so many levels. What an absolute fool. And on another note, Wilder is a blabbering man-child who can't accept reality and I'm looking forward to seeing Fury end his career when they meet for a third time.

Oh dear, Deontay starting to look like a whiny bitch.

Here's OTG filling in the blanks..

This guy.... let's see it again. 40 pounds? That's nothing for an average man let alone this giant. Lots of men like me are over 75 pounds to heavy and wouldn't get exhausted by a walk.

I Like what he says about the towel.

But its ruined by the other stuff...
Not a good look about the costume and Bayless.
Bayless tried to bail him out twice. Not a good look Champ.
Even if the costume thing is true...Oh well you chose that. And that's not smart. Fighting smart and making the right decisions is part of winning a fight.
It's not like it was close either. Those were not the difference makers.

“I’ve told them many times that if anyone throws the towel in on me, there will be consequences,” Wilder told The Athletic, while conceding concerns for his family and fighting future. “If I say I’m going in there to try to kill a man, I accept that in return,” Wilder said.

This is a bad sign folks. Cash out fight incoming. Sounds like Wilder has completely bought into his yes man's heavy uniform excuse as the main reason for his bad performance and that Mark Breland is going to be made the scapegoat. If I'm right here and Deontay takes the rematch and carries on with his stupid one trick training and H.S. Football strength and conditioning program he deserves the career ending ass whooping Tyson will lay on him next time they fight. Stupid is as stupid does

I thought Bayless did a good job but I fully expect the Fury fans who had issue with Bayless before to make him a saint now.

Kenny stopped the action at one point to give you a rest, and took a point away from Tyson..

Did Kenny bet on Wilder?

Looks like Wlad’s leg rub got himself some fierce competition.

Come on. Bayless didn't favor Wilder at all. I don't get making excuses for the guy that won.

Well Wilder is blaming the ref.. The ref took a point away from Tyson when Wilder was about to get KO'd.. So Wilder needs to be quiet..

I remember saying 2x durring the fight that the action shouldn't of been stopped. But I honestly got so mad at the result I forgot the exact scenarios. But the stops in action seemed super bogus.
I dont want to rewatch it either because it was a sad beatdown

Talk is cheap Deontay. Regroup and earn another shot, then you can prove your allegations. As it stands, they're nothing but hot air.

I've seen many losses blamed on refs, but blaming Black History Month is a new one on me. Maybe if he ever bothered to show up for leg day, those little toothpicks would've held up better.
