* Whyte out* Oct.30th Dillian Whyte vs Otto Wallin DAZN

I’m curious, why do you think he’s unlikely to get the fight? Do you think there will be network or streaming service issues, or is it that the fighters don’t want the fight?
Because Fury has talked about retiring in the not so distant past. He's only going to take fights that do something for him. Not some guy Joshua and Povetkin already knocked out.

Not interested at all to see Fury vs Whyte, if Whyte doesn't even feel comfortable taking on Wallin.
Wallin gave Fury one of his toughest fights. It's not like Whyte is going to walk through him. Whyte should have had his title shot years ago, I don't blame him for ducking this potential banana skin that he doesn't even have to take.

I think fury wants to have at least one more fight but that would be either Joshua or usyk. I could see him retiring after that.

I don't think Whyte blatantly ducked Wallin but he might have an injury, that he could have fought with but it makes the fight even more risky. I guess hearn is hoping for Joshua to win and then they probably go straight for the trilogy. And that would leave fury with not much options. But yeah he still wouldn't pick Whyte imo.

They should just make Whyte / Fury already.

Arum has said that it will be Whyte or Joyce next, in England. I really don’t want to see fury vs Joyce. And if the wbc pull the mandatory, he has no choice but to fight Whyte next

The problem he’s got is Joshua and usyk aren’t going to be lining up for a fight if he hasn’t got he belt. If the wbc pull the mandatory he’s gonna have to fight Whyte if he wants the unification fight

Whyte said he could have got an injection and fought like he has done in the past but rightly said why should he.

it’s not fake as scans would have have gone to promotors/insurance companies etc and whyte has fought injuries plenty of times.

Whyte is officially ducking Wallin while hoping for a Fury payday.

So he’s ducking a guy he chose to fight, who’s beaten absolutely nobody so far, to fight a guy that’s just knocked wilder out twice in a row and is the best in the division??

That doesn’t make any sense whatsoever

As a business decision it does. Walling is all risk no reward, Fury brings the biggest payday (outside of AJ obviously) and the most clout.

Im not surprised in the slightest about this. I dont believe there will be many contenders lining up for Wallin next.

Is there actually any evidence of Whyte's injury? Per Wallin they haven't seen anything. He's out money now and is hoping to be reimbursed. This all seems way too fishy for my liking. It does look like a business decision on Team Whyte's part. A guy like Wallin could crash the party. On the business side he's all risk and no reward. He's big, awkward, has serviceable skills, good work rate, and he's a southpaw who can punch a bit. Whyte has only been in with one southpaw as a pro, Tomas Mrazek, who happens to be an absolute bum (his record was 9-49-6). Hmm.

Well the MRI have gone to the insurance people. Why would they become public or go to wallin? That’s not how it works is it…..this isn’t whytes first shoulder injury and confidential medical information like a scan on a shoulder can reveal weak spots for opposition to exploit.

If this was a title fight whyte himself has said he would just take a jab and fight injured like he has done many times before but in this case he doesn’t need to and is making the right call. If he intended to pull out he would have done so after fury won and saved himself the huge costs of his last few weeks in camp

Could you imagine what the Whyte fans would say if Fury or Wilder pulled out.

People disclose their injuries all the time. Especially when it calls off a big fight.

So if it was an already known injury that he knew he needed shots for in the past why even take the fight in the first place?

Do you have a credible source on that (MRI having been sent off to the insurance company)? I can think of more than one occasion where the insurance either didn't kick in or they only covered partial expenses. In fact, didn't @sweetviolenturg have to eat financial losses before for past opponents pulling out or rescheduling, something to that effect?

Who said anything about disclosing confidential medical information? I've not asked for that nor has Team Wallin. They simply asked for proof of Whyte's injury, or more accurately, proof of his injury's severity (as allegedly it was severe enough to have his doctor not clear him to fight). Little to no details would be required to prove that the injury exists and that it was severe enough to cancel the bout. Besides, the law doesn't work like that, at least not here in the US it doesn't. HIPAA would prevent Whyte's MRI scan from being released by Whyte's doctor to Team Wallin (though, Whyte would obviously be authorized to release it himself given that it's his medical record). I imagine in Britain you have similarly strict laws governing confidential medical information.

Also, there's literally nothing at all for Whyte to hide even if his MRI were to be released. We already know that it's his left shoulder that's allegedly injured (or, more accurately, allegedly reinjured)! You're only repeating, almost verbatim, what Whyte has told Steve Bunce and the rest of the media regarding his supposed injury.
