Why would the UFC post the 319 card with a TBD co-main event?

the UFC could always just move a fight from the prelims onto the main card. They've done that before many times.
I agree they could!

They could just make MVP Vs cannonier the comain event and pull a prelim fight up to the main card.

So why promise another fight? If we get another high level comain worthy fight, that's great. But why create that expectation As a promotion ?

I could be wrong, but I think the only people creating that expectation as a promotion are a few posters on Sherdog. Did the UFC ever mention that another fight is going to be added?

Yes, It's in the picture I posted in the OP it says tbd on the co-main. and on the website the shows a 4 fight main card, The card currently only has 11 fights, so it stands to reason it's missing a fight. It shows as 6 prelim fights, 1 early prelim fight, and 4 fight main card. They did not say "We're adding one more fight" but rather "We dont have a co-main yet"

Get Caio vs Strickland on there. It needs to be a MW fight in case something happens to the main.

Strickland is suspended indefinitely for bum rushing the cage and punching that guy when he was cornering.

Belal/Garry would make perfect sense to have as the co-main if they cant do Evloev/Pico, if they cant do either they might have to get desperate.

Wait, huh? I remember the incident but didn't know something like that came of it.

I like TBD in this one. While TBD has just lost a controversial split decision, he's still young and has a lot of potential. We need to give him time to develop into the triple champ we all think he can become. A grizzled veteran and former champ like TBD is the perfect opponent for him to bounce back and test his mettle against elite competition under the bright spotlight of a Co-main event of a big PPV
This post wins the internet for the day and possible the weekend.

On a completely unrelated note, I just bet half a mil on TBD. It's a sure thing, I tells ya!

So the main card is really only gonna have 4 fights & the co main will be between fckn Cannonier/MVP or Prates/Neal??

<Huh2>

My guess is they had/have something they’ve been working on but the deal hasn’t happened.

This shits embarrassing man. I hate this fucking company lmao
I blame ESPN for being dumb enough to guarantee 300k PPV buys per event.

That allowed Dana to be ultra lazy with events that weren't going to sell 300k+ anyway.

Isn't Caio already scheduled to fight Imavov in September?
Yeah, I realized that after posting. But UFC probably should have some sort of relevant division fight for PPV's with title fights in case the main falls through somehow. Feels like that should just be standard.

Waiting on Meerschaert fight to be bumped onto the PPV

Tickets are mostly sold. They don’t give fuck. Crazy decision with Khamzat in the main event. Asking for a late pullout

When has he been a pullout risk other than when he had covid. Do you think he's going to get covid again?
