Why was Rhonda so hated?

Rhonda never ducked fights or backed down. She was an active champ who wrecked opponents with finishes nearly every time. What gives?

Because she was everyone's sweet little princess while at Strikeforce and into her first couple UFC fights. Then she meets the Diaz brothers and suddenly becomes this arrogant bitch who's fake as fuck and thinks she can beat Floyd Mayweather standing.

If she would have stayed daddy's little girl she would still own the world. Just look at Gina. She kept MMA and Hollywood in her pocket long after she stopped fighting and she got just a fraction of the exposure of Ronda. Fake DNB just wants to have Browne's babies.

She was such a butch to Meisha Tate, horrible personality, bad role model, and she's with Travis & that dumb ass trainer. Many more reason

I remember fans used to like her in Strikeforce.

It all started when the UFC created a division for her and handed her the belt. I would say her stint on TUF didn't help.

Maybe because she started acting different once she got into the UFC?

Say what you will about Conor, but he's been the same guy...just a bit louder now.

Dude she walks around at 165, u have no idea what your talking about, and throw the entire blame on her with dumb ass reasoning of why couldn't she starve to beat death??

Everybody knows thatbwas the biggest fight to make, and the UFC knew Cyborg woukd destroy their cash cow, and Ronda wanted none of Cyborg.

You should go look at the damage a weight cut does on the body, and see Cyborg try and make 140lb. to think she can make 135lb is retarded

Her health wasn't a concern when she was doing roids, and like i said before, she had plenty of time to lose the weight the right way but instead she added muscle.

Between that and her constant flip flopping on the issue, she has zero credibility. It's irrelevant now as that ship has sailed

I think it was the mean mug, that really seemed to rub people the wrong way.

Lol yea but you have to understand how ridiculous you sound when you believe any fighter is capable to fight at any weight while still performing the same.

That's a huge cut, name me one fighter who fights at 135 with a walk around weight of 165lbs?? FYI Cyborg weighed 165lb before her weight cut, her walk around weight is greater than 165lbs.

her shit-talking, and how much bullshit hype ppl got behind her, but her shit-talking and her amazing finishing ability is what got her there.

i STILL think she could retake the belt, she is young. she would need to dedicate 2-3 years to striking and more importantly striking defense, and wrestling and wrestling defense. but then you go... why do all that? you have millions. invest and spend wisely and you can retire. go see the world. live life.

Ok let's have a revisionist history.

There's the whole controversial Ronda ducking Cyborg, she fought at 145, then dropped down to 135, and refused to fight again at 145lbs because of cyborg.

There was her attitude that irked people the wrong way after she became popular.
She specifically talked her way into a title shot at 135 past the top 2 contenders by saying it would sell better because she's pretty.

Then later criticized female fighters who sold themselves that way and even started shitting on ring girls. Basically she had an illogical viewpoint that drove a shitty attitude that she was constantly hypocritical about.

This might actually be the main reason. I know I get annoyed with people who go out of their way to mean mug when everything's going their way in life. I always think, who the hell do you think YOU'RE fooling?

Forced down a lot of fans throats and hyped as unbeatable even through she was fighting very average competition at the time.

Calling her opponents 'average" is a bit of a stretch, no? Unless maybe you think McMann being an Olympian evens out all the others basically being one step above office chicks who do kickboxing or BJJ on the weekend.

Tate beat McMann (and Holm) and Zingano beat Tate and Nunes, you're a dumbass who doesn't know what to value.
