Why The Jon Jones Story Stinks!!!

Wow dude!! You watch wayyyyy to much tv!
Let's just pretend you were joking about this.

I'm basing this off reading forums, tweets and TMZ, so make of it what you will. Admittedly, I don't know all the facts, but just based on what's been circulating - the Jon Jones story stinks. Have fun!

1. Jones has never been positively ID'd. An off-duty cop just so happened to be on the scene, in the early morning hours? Saw a man he "believed to be" Jon Jones? The "off-duty cop" is, of course, not identified in the TMZ article. The other piece of evidence for positive ID comes from the police report and is the convenient "paperwork belonging to Jonathan Jones with MMA information on it." No way this could ever be forged or duplicated.

2. The orgy of evidence. (With apologies to the movie Minority Report). "Jones", after the accident, runs from his vehicle, pauses (makes sure "he" is seen), then runs back and, without making any effort to conceal it, stuffs a huge wad of cash into his pants. However, conveniently doesn't bother to take the incriminating pipe filled with marijuana or the paperwork that identifies him as "Jon Jones the MMA Fighter"

3. Driving a rental? Why wasn't Jones driving one of his own cars when he was out locally? Whose name is the rental under?

4. Doesn't add up. Why would Jon Jones be smoking weed in the middle of training camp, after he just got busted for doing coke and knowing he could be tested at any moment? Is there an agreement in place to allow Jones to smoke? (If so, why not one for Nick Diaz, he's is probably as much of a draw as Jones is). Seems unlikely, seems like too much of a contrivance to have something like that in place with the ACs.

5. Is Jon Jones being set up? All of the circumstances that have been reported could have EASILY been contrived. The Johnny-on-the-spot off duty cop standing by to make the ID, the drugs and "paperwork" left in the vehicle, the conspicuous wad of cash, the rental to save the trouble of having to steal one of Jones' vehicles.

6. Did Jon Jones piss off the wrong people? Gamblers? Drug Dealers? Other underworld figures who would extort him or set him up? It's not as if Albuquerque is a place that is insulated from organized crime. And Jon certainly would not be the first athlete to get caught up with gangsters and suddenly find himself in over his head.

Interesting points I agree with most of all but its all starting to look true seeing as Jon, an active social media user hasn't posted on twitter on instagram for a few days now.

Sure, none of us know what happened yet, but what do you think is more likely, OP's theory, or the theory that Jones was out partying, possibly on multiple drugs, got in an accident and then ran to let his blood stream clear up (avoiding DUI at minimum) and to give himself time to lawyer up? Come on TS, it's OK to be a skeptic, but your theory stinks more than the emerging narrative.

TS, if you give the slightest of shit what people here think of you, then go play in traffic.

In case you haven't heard, American police and the average American's opinion of them is at an all time low. A LOT of people don't even bother to get police involved in matters due to lack of trust or lack of confidence in their capabilities and intentions.

I personally believe that he is doing the right thing by contacting counsel and reporting when and if he has to because it is innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around.

A lot of people aren't multimillionaires that are publicly known and have access to the top legal figures on the planet, you fucking asshat.

Yes! This is obviously a frame job. Which is why Jones has been actively denying this since the news broke. Oh, wait.

People can obtain "MMA-related paperwork" in a lot of ways. Sorting people's garbage, hacking, fabrication, copies etc...

All I am saying is that I don't know the facts or details of the event so I'm not going to assume anything.

No, you know facts like that the car was in his name, had his paperwork and had drugs.

You're ASSUMING that a conspiracy is afoot based on a bunch of hilariously laughable stretches of logic. Jones could shoot the ref in the face on PPV and dumb fucks like you would be crying conspiracy because the stream wasn't in HD.

All of your supposed 'inconsistencies' can be explained with one word:

Addiction.

Are you really suggesting none of this can be true because it isn't logical for JJ to do any of the things he's been accused of doing? Ever met an addict?

I believe in being skeptical.
In a professional life before this one, I worked pretty closely alongside people who worked in the criminal justice system.

Never, ever, ever trust ANYTHING cops EVER do.

With that being said, character issues are what they are and Jones has had character issues since day 1. If you invite a friend over to your home and when he thinks you're out of the room, you notice him pocket some loose change you left out on the kitchen table, you will never trust him again NOT because it was a egregious offense, but because doing that was a massive character indicator.

Jones with the eye pokes (lack of professional integrity), Jones with the two-faced personality (lack of personal integrity), the JESUS JESUS but not living as a Christian, it all adds up to someone with significant character defects. Nobody's perfect, but few of us are that outwardly awful.

That's why it all 'adds up' in his criminal case, too. Because Jon Jones is, in fact, human vermin.

Only thing TS missed was the part about Nessie.

11/10

Would sarcastically rate again.
