Who wants to come to a sport where if you don't make it to the top, you'll be a 35k/35k guy. Guys who don't even get into a basketball for the whole season get paid more. Not many 10 yr olds are out there saying they wanna slam like Khabib. Only time you'll here a young person say they wanna do MMA for a living is when they come home and say, "I didn't make the team".

2. Age/Fading stars

About 80% percent of the big names on the roster are 30 and up. MW is mostly a pool of almost 40 yr olds. Only big names under 30 are:

Aldo- Gonna be 30 this yr
Tate- ^^^
Barao- ^^^
Holloway- 24
McGregor- 27
MacDonald- 26
Khabib- 27
Jon Jones- 27
Ronda- 28 (maybe headed to Hollywood)
JJ- 28

Can you really build on this?

Member that time MMA died after Tito, Chuck, GSP, Matt Hughes, Shamrock left

Age won't be a problem. There will be new starts. Called "changing the guard".

you basically listed the UFC's current biggest stars in the under 30 category...RR, Conor, Jones?

I`ve been witnessing the dying of mma for about 15 yrs now

they would have to unionize (not saying they should) to get a minimum salary

The sport is still relatively young. The NFL is the biggest sports league in the world go look how little pro football players made when the sport was 23 years old.

Look at the fucking cover of EA UFC 2. Both on your list. And 5 years ago they were just coming up. So the biggest stars of 2021 could well be just some young prospect or not in the UFC.

People were doing MMA when there was no money in it. Fighter pay has consistently gone up over the last decade, with fighters now making unprecedented paychecks for a single fight.

New fighters rise and fall every year. I'm assuming you're new to this.

Bad post. Stop posting.

We've said this after every generation of top guys fade. Without Ronda wmma would be dead, and she has the personality of a retarded fish, so I guess there's always someone out there the ufc can market.

Conor wont last the at top beyond this yr. The flaws in his game have been made apparent. Ronda is 1 foot in, 1 foot out. Jones may be the best bet but he's cleaned out LHW in a sense. And by the time he may decide to move up, most of the HWs will be way past their primes.

What are you talking about, in 5 years Sage and Paige will be in their prime. Sport will be greater than ever.

there is always new stars in new generations

Lot of people talks about money, and yes compared to major leagues it's ridiculous, but if you compare it with other combat sports (wrestling, judo, I think even boxing) MMA is more lucrative.

And you forget something, when a kid decides to start practicing a sport, most of the time his decision isn't based on money.
