Why isn't Mousasi talked about in the GOAT discussion?

He got owned by Shevenko in his Bellator debut.

Not a good look for a supposed top 5 UFC talent.​
 
He fights at different weights and has a few decent kickboxing wins.

That should count for something. All balls GOAT for sure.
 
Because he has never spent a single day of his life as number 1 in any weight class ever and has never won the consensus world title at any weight.

He is incredible though and I am being harsh and realistic in what I say. He is probably a top 50 GOAT.
 
Think the ufc made a dumb ass choice letting him go. However he isnt goat level yet.
 
Why would anyone consider him as one of the GOATs? Hasn’t he lost a couple of fights when he fought elite competition? Mousasi is great but how anyone could argue he should be talked about as a potential GOAT is insane.
 
Many of you talk about his losses.
So I guess Silva and Fedor are out of the picture too...

He was obviously more of an openweight/multi-weight-classes dude...
 
Because he never was a dominant champion and probably will never be even in Bellator because he is retiring young and in his prime.

Mousasi is one of my all time fav. With better wrestling he would have been a force. He seems to be much better in that area now but he is not in the UFC anymore.
 
Fedor, GSP, Aldo, Jones, Anderson, MM....all had long dominant title reigns. That’s why they are GOAT candidates. Although he has a pretty great resume, Mousasi never had that and he has lost some pretty big fights too. Hell, you could put a guy like Hendo in the GOAT convo before you would Mousasi.....
 
TV replayed the Fight Night with Mousasi vs Philippou and Mousasi handled him easily just like GSP with the strike to takedown and ground control.

He wasn't given the chance. He could have wrecked Anderson Silva or Bisping and maybe Rockhold and Weidman.

Mousasi is top 5 at both mw and lhw of all time.
He is a legit killer, as Chael Sonnen decribed him, "Moussasi is one scary guy".
He beat the living fuck out of Jardine, one hell of a beatdowns without actually the ref stopping fight. Watch the fight dont just look at the fightfinder record.
The hillbilly ref let jardine survive and gave him breaks, the entire crowd was against him as soon as they said 'born in Iran'.
That is the issue, he has been held back and denied opportunities.

He avenged fluke lose against Hall.
He claims Machida was heavily greased and on steroids both of which likely true.
Getting tapped by jacare no shame.
If pushed and given opportunities would be mw ufc champ now. He slaughters weak chinned Rockhold, took out Weidman and was about to get the clean ko.
Could be a legit challenger to jon jones at lhw also.
