No uprising can ever succeed against the US govt in terms of weapons. But if you ask cops or the military(which treat foreign enemies better than cops treat US citizens in many regards) to fire on mass groups of people that could include people they know the govt can fall very easily.

Asking the military(unlike the police) to fire on groups of protesters/rioters especially on nationwide could easily lead to them saying no. This is how the Russian revolution(not the communist one the democratic/socialist one in february) succeeded. This is basically how to get accidentally coup'd 101.

Taking on the US military with stored ammo is laughable but getting the US military to change sides if they are ordered to attack a country they've sworn to protect is a very realistic aim and is honestly more likely than a political revolution.

Cursory Google search is coming up with either pertaining to the Admiralty or martial law. Given the circumstance, I'm leaning towards martial law - but these sources may be terrible.

Look, what you're looking at right now is the extent of what citizens are capable of, outside of desperate, and fruitless "resistance" to a military force. When the military comes in to shut the mayhem down, you can be assured it will stay shut down, until they say otherwise.
