why is Rothwell favoured over JDS?

JDS has looked like a shot fighter recently and Rothwell is improving.

Mix this with the fact that you have to basically call a nuclear airstrike on rothwell to finish him (like AA did) and it makes it look like a very winnable fight for him.

Do people forget that he beat Stipe after the 2nd Cain fight? It's hilarious how people acted like he was shot, yet I remember so many people being on him when he was moderately to heavily favored over Reem.

He didn't look like himself against Stipe although I thought he jds won 4 rounds to 1.

The point is that Stipe is a good win, especially in retrospect. Apparently people thought he looked good enough to be in the -250 to -300 range against Reem. MMA fans are very reactionary. People thought Reem was shot, but he looked solid even in his losses. Rothwell is the exact opposite. I don't feel he's looked very good besides his killer instinct and getting the finish. It's similar to how Travis Browne can be. I think Rothwell is going to get schooled standing here.

K I will help you out here ..."Doesn't matter how the "W" (the win)..... gets there. ("There"=your record) ....It (the win aka the "W")..... just has to and your golden. (Which MEANS a win ...is a win ...no matter how you obtain it. ....the word GOLDEN in that context means "Complete, good to go, etc.) Hope that helps
 
Jds didnt look great against Stipe or Reem but they are great strikers.

I think JDS will always lose to Reem but i think he can beat Stipe again and Ben. It wasnt like Ben was out there busting Reems ass from bell to bell, he got wrecked most of the fight and suffered a broken arm lol.

Go ahead and laugh because it's the truth. The striking disparity between Ben and JDS is less than the seperation between their grappling. Rothwell wins this because he has more ways to win. Theyre both big guys where one shot can lead into a gnp stoppage or in Rothwells case a submission..laugh all u want lol. It's a HW fight, anything can happen. It's clear to me Ben is more well rounded.
 
Because JDS physically just might not be the same fighter anymore. Rothwell has finishied Brandon Vera, Alistair Overeem, Matt Mitrione and Josh Barnett inside the distance.

In no way Ben has better striking . Just because he caught overeem does not mean he has better striking
