Why is Masvidal ducking everyone?

I just think he’s politicking and will get back to fighting afterwards

Most fighters constantly train and jorge was definitely wrestling more than usual and training specifically for usman, thats still much different than dedicating 7 weeks to fighting on a certain date and being in peak condition by the end of that 7 weeks anyone whos not a moron can see that.

i hate how jorge become a diva. he took the short notice fight while not sitting on his ass eating pizzs so he can which he did play the victim card.

he said after he was in the gym everyday training so there was no ring rust.
 
He's the BMF right now but if Colby smokes him, what does he has left?

Masvidal is hanging dearly to what he has right now, before returning to Journeyman status
 
Because at the end of the day he’s a very good, but not elite fighter and he knows this. I don’t think he’s scared of anyone he’s just trying to maximize his money. I get it.
 
Anytime a fighter doesn't take a fight it is because of how the UFC is run. Imagine if your boss said to you, "we're going to pay you the same for a really hard project, or easier one. If you mess up, we might fire you, but if you complete it we're going to double your money." Which one do you take
 
Masvidal is a smart businessman. His stock is still very high despite losing to Usman because he took it on short notice and saved an event.

He doesn’t want to take fights that he has a high chance of losing because then his stock will come crashing down.
 
He wants a winnable fan friendly fight to keep his stock high.

He's not scared of the individuals calling him out nor of What They may physically do to him BUT he clearly is scared of potential outcomes and therefore trying to manage risks. I think this is whether people know it or not, what a duck is in combat sports.

He still owes Nate 2 more rounds. When it comes to a BMF title fight, you can't let some NYC liberal doctor decide a winner. As a matter of fact, the only outside official that could call a BMF title fight is a coroner and even then you'd need a second opinion...:cool:

Because he got paid a shit load of money. Statistically speaking fighters will compete less the more they are paid.

Pretty much this. Masvidal and the UFC very well knows that he could lose to any top 10 guy on a given night. He had a couple exciting KOs and talked a lot in the media and that led to his stock and popularity rising. But pretty much most people know that Jorge is still the same guy who lost to Maia and Wonderboy and had close fights through his career. Now he's making big $$$ and like you said his stock is high. A loss to anyone and it drops.
