Why is it OK to be racist against Asians?

Many asians in asian countries are ignorant but as a whole asians have never shown a high level of aggressive racism against other races. 50 years before Columbus ever sailed to America an envoy of Chinese in 200 ships and thousands of men sailed to Africa, did they take slaves? nope. but they could have, they could have colonized a majority of the continent and parts of europe if they wanted to, they were perhaps technologically and militarily the most advanced nation in the world. The Chinese sailed to the Americas way before colombus, when they got there did they take the lands and wage war with the peoples? No they didn't, they showed restraint.

Confucian ideological beliefs were ingrained in these people for a millenium. Asians in asia are typically insular and somewhat ignorant of other cultures and races but to say they are more racist as a whole as a society is a joke, look at history.

I always thought the Chinese could have possibly discovered Murica first. Just look at a map of the Kuril Islands, Japan, then how far that is from the Aleutian Islands. And the chinese certainly had the ships.

But oh well, there is no real evidence of it though.

The chinese did not believe anything was worth conquering unless it was to secure their own borders. They were more than happy to have everyone around them as a Tributary state.

so you think how many people he killed in a war is the equivalent to his being tortured and held as a pow? um ok

Will Arabs be able to say whatever they want about Americans because of the people tortured and being held without trial at Guantanamo bay??

"Me so horny, me so sexy, me love you long time".

It's funny and I think because all the jokes about Asians aren't particularly insulting nor true. Jokes about black people very often border painful truths, so are considered "racist".

Like since when has being called a "monkey" considered a racial slur towards blacks? If someone call me a monkey or a gorilla or chimp I just kinda chuckle along because it's such a mild "insult". You call that a black person, there might be some 'hollerin' and possibly altercations. But maybe I'm imagining it?

all depends, my best friend works with this Russian guy who said the Nba players are nothing but a bunch of monkeys my friend is black and didn't even get mad. I teased him about it "he called you a monkey"---"he didn't call me no monkey" because it was the same Russian guy I almost got in a fight with, total idiot. People have different tolerances but I've personally seen many times black people called the "N-word" and nobody does nothing, even my black stepdad didn't do nothing the two times I saw him called that. I'm telling you, black people aren't as volatile as white people want to believe. They would have been fighting since 1865 if they were. That's why I say they are passive.

if you believe the commonly accepted theory, Indians were just Mongolians anyway.

@mozfonky

I think those who are more racist themselves tend to be the most volatile. Makes good sense, because only those who are suspicious of other race behavior would jump on anything that otherwise would not be perceived as racist by someone who does not have that militant mindset.

I see you Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton...

my stepdad was plenty race obsessed, even with black people, I remember when black people would fuck up his subscription to jet mag he'd say "n's can't get shit right". Black people are hardest and most competive and violent with other black people (same as Indians).

I was listening to a pod of a Josh Barnett interview and he said that the Mongolians had wiped out Persia in a way that they had yet to recover. Generally, the most aggressive people's come from Europe, Christendom and Islam. Many theories for all of it who knows what's true and what's not but the theories are many and far fucking out. Even Carl Jung had a farout theory on why Germanic peoples were so crazy.

The central asian steppe peoples were generally representative of the more aggressive side of asians. although the accounts of their brutality were often much exaggerated, in times of war they were brutal, using many methods to achieve victory. In times of peace they were actually a tolerant society, they had no concept of race, as a matter of fact a good percentage of the central asian armies throughout history were caucasian or mixed asians/caucasions. The turks, scythians, huns, mongols.

During the times of the mongol empire their armies were the first to be based on a meritocracy, religious freedom was allowed for citizens. They used to have a saying that during the mongol empire a woman carrying a bag of gold can travel across the silk road from europe to china without getting robbed or raped.

Also we are talking about the 1200's here, brutal times for all in the world. I basically view asian societies as pre-confucian and post-confucian eras. There is nothing innate within asian societies that makes them less aggressive, they are human just like everyone else. but I will say that that once the ideological imprint of confucianism and taoism spread across asia, you see a stark decline in agressiveness towards other nations, especially foreign nations and races.

interesting, you're forgetting the Japanese though who did horrendous things and became the Britain of the orient for awhile. Japanese have their own mixture of the Confucian/Taoist/Shinto stuff but their culture was and is somewhat warped in my eyes. My old mentor was Japanese, when I was done with him, I really didn't want to deal with any Japanese again, just too many weird little quirks (which any culture has but come on) to learn about and be on the lookout for. It was definitely turned into one of the worst experiences of my life outside of deaths in the family.

They were too busy fighting among themselves to direct it outwards. Though Genghis Khan slaughtered millions.

Don't be racist, Asians aren't inherently more peaceful. Japanese in WWII, need I say more?

History?

but in fairness, I don't think any of the other Asians are as warped as the Japanese, there are reasons behind this which made the culture ripe to pull the things they did (Isolation, their belief that they were a chosen people among others) but the other Asians seemed to have either killed because they were picking up the ways of the colonizers or they let people die like Mao did with his idiotic ideas. Japanese were a one off and still are. They have what looks like a utopia but there is a dark side to all of it. Anyway, we as a whole are a violent species. No one race can claim exemption from doing some bad stuff.

It's also very present in our media....

who is the last Male Asian "hollywood" "media" star that was classifed our could be perceived as "sexy" or "alpha" or "manly?"

Whites have Staham, Gerard Butler, Russel Crowe...

Blacks have Denzel, Tyrese, Tyson, that huge guy from the Expendables.

Asians...Jet Li, maybe...Chow yun Fat?? the Korean guy from Lost and Hawaii 50???

How many Asian actors can you name that aren't in any away affiliated with martial arts?

that pervert, Suka from Dexter?

It's perfectly acceptable to make racist jokes, stereotypes and ridicule Asians in this country.

God help you if you crack a small joke about African Americans,

and God help you if think the Officer in the Ferguson shooting deserves a fair investigation...

Asians just aren't as conventionally manly. It isn't racism, it is a cultural thing. The hot guys in asia look like the hot women in asia.
