that reminds me, now that you bring up crime. When I was taking a soc course in Murder, the teacher asked about the murder rates in Seattle in 1910 or something and asked what race was at the top. Instinctively, I knew he was asking because he assumed many people would think "black", or "white" or "Mexican" but never even think to say Asian. I said Asian and I was correct. Lots of factors go into crime and most of them are because humans are just fucking humans man.

Well, all the illegal stops, the constant suspicion, being followed around in stores, I think Asians wouldn't mind that but if Asians started getting shot with their hands up, getting raped by police (which does happen to people believe it or not), getting beaten for being in the wrong place (this one, actually, I knew a Vietnamese kid who said a cop lifted him with one arm over his head by the neck when he was younger) would they take it in huge numbers? I am curious, I don't think they would. Like I said, cultures are different, black people are vocal, I grew up around them, they don't bother me, if they come to attack which seldom happens it's almost always a bluff. Really, what you got to worry about is those quiet motherfuckers. (And I know comedy master Carlin once said "I'd bet that while you're watching a quiet one, a noisy one will fuck you up!)

I've been pulled over plenty of times. I've been pulled over for no reason and I've had cops be complete dicks for no reason. I think it's pretty safe to say that a lot of black people would think it was just all racism if they were in my shoes.

It doesn't take "following close." It just takes remembering what you read. I'm always surprised when people act like they expect everything they say to be forgotten. The asians are not vocal about it. They dont need people's patronages. They have done fine without them. They dont need people to feel sorry, and pity them.

The chinese in particular. I dont there is any one asian grouping that has taken the slack the chinese have, and not just in the USA. They are global. Of course, they have been traversing the globe longer than the other groups. Every where they have gone, yellow peril phobia followed them. In fact, they have paved the way for other asians.

Despite all the things done against them, they are a model minority. They have over achieved in academia, white collar professions, and business.

Can I ask did you have a shitty car? unfortunately police officers profile people, when I was working as a police officer I would usually go for people in shady vehicles because they at the very least didn't have insurance and we had a quota to fill. I worked in a town that had 95% Hispanics so race was never a issue. But no matter what anyone else says, Police officers DO profile people. It's part of the job. It was really rare if someone was driving a nice car and the owner had a warrant/drunk/drugs. Sad to say, If you were a black man you would have a much harder time.

that's true, i've been pulled over when driving a shitty car, that's the main one they look for, more than race I'm sure. Dirty cars, dented cars, even loud cars with all the bullshit. The best way to avoid police is to be inconspicuous. Some people are too stupid to do even that though. I avoid driving with passengers, I hate giving rides because, tell me if I'm wrong, a car load of motherfuckers makes police suspicious.
