Why is Dana throwing a tantrum over Merab/Aljo?

Dana has no issue with O'Malley publicly stating he fought easier fights for as much money as possible.
He desperately wants to avoid Merab being a champion.

Back in 2008, Fitch, Kos and Swick were all near the top of the WW division and they wouldn't fight one another which created problems with moving the division forward and is how Dan Hardy got a title shot over a lackluster win over Swick. I think that's where Dana's issue with it originated from and as much as I dislike the bald dipshit, I agree with him on that.

Dana needs to start booking fights to eliminate contenders so he can pick the fights with the highest probability of Sean winning. Pretty common for the marketing jobs, weave through all the top contenders and trying their best to cherry pick winnable fights on the way to the title/defenses.

It still hasn't become an issue and isn't an issue because it's an either or situation so the champion doesn't have to wait I don't understand what you're not getting. Whoever doesn't get the title shot if they sit out they risk the chance that someone else passes them up none of this prevents the champion from defending against the worthy contender.

If Aljo wins it's a possible issue. If Merab wins it's an issue.
At best we get a rematch with O'malley if Aljo wins because they love O'malley. At worst Merab gets destroyed by someone whilst he keeps busy and gets Dariushed by choice.

We never get to actually see the two best grapplers in the division fight.

Nobody else can advance into those rankings without them dropping Merab purely on inactivity when he is fine to fight.
Those are all issues within a division as a promoter and a fan. The best should fight each other when it comes to the belt.
