Elections Why has Obama refused to endorse Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? SMH!

True story. Obama recently refused to endorse "the new face of the Democratic Party," Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. At the same time, he endorsed 81 other Democrats. Why?

• Obama's 2018 endorsement list includes Jacky Rosen, but not Beto O'Rourke or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

That's seriously messed up tho. Like, why would you do that to a rising star in your own party? You're supposed to be on the same side! Obama done forgot that it was the DNC establishment (John Kerry as POTUS nominee) who put him on back in 2004 – back when he was just some "community organizer" with a funny name. Shouldn't Obama "pay it forward?"

No, this is actually my old persona. Real talk tho, I thought Dems were gung ho for Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic Socialism. Is Obama turning Alt-Right or something? Or does he know something we don't? Crowley's name is still on the ballot FYI.

I imagine it's because he has always been a democrat, and despite the vilification of him by the right, he was never a "burn it all down" radical type but someone who tried to work with both sides and make compromises to get actual policy advances that he could achieve, and disagrees with the Democratic Socialist wing's approach.

I don't know though. Also not sure why it is such a big deal?

Well, he's not really a part of her ideological section of the party. He would have certainly preferred Crowley.

Anyways, ex-presidents aren't really expected to publicly endorse all Congressional candidates. He'd likely prefer her to the Republican alternative.

The Dem leadership is endorsing the more moderate candidates while the Republican Party is led by the far right. I expected more of this democratic socialism than has actually occurred.

I very, very much doubt that, particularly in the case of Rubio, who is (a) a bona fide moron, and (b) has no actual policy beliefs other than what is fed to him by his party toward their agenda of looting the economy and giving all wealth and power to the ultra-rich and to non-human for-profit legal entities.

Like with Hillary, I would imagine that Obama's actual moral fiber and the end goals of his policies are very consistent with those of AOC. He just prefers a different method of delivery. I would sincerely doubt that he would prefer someone who prefers the same methods of delivery to achieve completely diametrical outcomes.
