Why Francis is so concerned about money?

I would praise dana everyday if i was in his position
I almost never use the word Bet, but it's perfect for what I think.

Maybe Francis has a dangerous job and he's not a Beta like you.

When it is in the 15-20% of total revenue range & fighters can't control their own purse, yes it is. Every other sport including boxing, the players share is 30-40%.

UFC fighters salaries have risen slower comparatively than UFC incomes. So yes, they're getting the scraps.

If he was boxing, on revenue shares he's be getting 2mill per fight, minimum, with those same numbers. If he was the actual heavyweight boxing champ- forget it, add some zeroes to that.

they're not making the same cut of revenue, that's true. they deserve more, that's true too. but LOL at 1mil being scraps. unless he's being paid in pesos that is just an overreaction.

Hey, Shertards,

Maybe Ngannou doesn’t want to end up like Tim Sylvia who can’t even get medical care to fix the screws that are backing out of his forearm that Mir snapped in half while fighting for the UFC.

Maybe Ngannou doesn’t want to end up like Mark Coleman who’s suffering through hip replacements and financial difficulties after putting his body on the line for the UFC for years.

Maybe Ngannou doesn't want to end up like these other Heavyweight champs who fought for chump change. Pay the man Dana, ya goof.

Tell me I’m wrong.

Hahahaha! Yup, pretty much and lmao at whoever it was that said other sports outside of combat sports pay their individual athletes up to forty percent of the revenue. Those organizations would’ve been bankrupted by now considering how much everything costs outside of just the salary of competitors.

Ok being paid scraps, comparatively.

- Less than ten years ago he was one of the poorest human being in a third world country (cameroon)

- less than five years ago he was a poor man in a first world country (france)

- now he is milionnaire (he did that pretty fast, props to him)

He should be grateful from what he have now, why people are becoming so ungrateful and greedy more they get rich?

I would praise dana everyday if i was in his position

it's above me....
This mfkr has double yellows already. You SHOULD be lucky you're not banned again homie. Don't worry about what another man is making when you can't even hold it down on a karate forum.
<{Heymansnicker}>

I don't think it's arrogance but he probably feels he is the best. I don't even think he even follows the sport until a few years ago. That is his mentality I guess. He is always looking for the next better thing. I know Dewey Cooper hypes him pretty hard and states he can beat Tyson Fury but I don't think he will stick with him.

i think he's been rubbing shoulders with a-level athletes and then sees his pay is nowhere near what they make.

bad habit to compare your income to others. there will always be someone who seems to be working less and making more than you.

Because money can be exchanged for goods and services - no money, no goods and services
Looks like sherdoggers are clueless about money yet again. Ngannou gets paid horribly for his relative skill level and talent

Because he's one of the most exciting fighters right now in the organization and historically you have a rather short career at the top as a heavyweight champion. There's a high chance Francis might not be champion two fights from now

So if I start a business I have to split the revenue equally with the employees? Man everyone in this thread should march right in the HR department first thing tomorrow and demand this right away.

If it's a sports league, and your business is among the lowest when it comes to revenue split. Ya, you might want to look into it

Anyone know how many fights Francis has left on contract with the UFC?

By that logic Dana should stop collecting a share of UFC's profits and give it all to the fighters.

Because he's the champion, is marketable, and fights in the HW division. A division where careers don't last too long as compared to other divisions.

It's time to cash in while he has some leverage.

Your local McDonald’s owner must be happy to have you working there, ts. Keep licking his boots….. you will go far.

I understand where he's coming from but he doesn't even have a title defense yet. Let him get a few title defenses and become more marketable. The money will come.
