I think Dana was right about Francis....

Much respect indeed. And I hope my comment don't overshadow his accomplishments.

I'm talking about the way he deal with people behind the scenes....
Its funny that you are looking at the Dana White's of the world who have built fortunes off the backs of guys that now have CTE and many other debilitating conditions and are also mostly broke and side with their gripes about a guy who stood up for himself and knew his own worth. When you get as far in the world like Frank has there will be some who aren't happy. Team in France upset? Maybe they saw Francis as their meal ticket? How about the coaches at Xtreme Couture that have said Frank gave them bonus checks he had no obligation to give them? Like life changing money.

He insisted his PFL opponent get $2M when he could have insisted they get $250k and he get another $1.75M for himself.

I'm really starting to think that Dana was right about that one.... Francis isn't really who you think he is.

The guy really seems full of himself. PFL gave him everything he wanted and supported him the whole way and that's how he thank them?

Same guy that was suppose to ''fight for the fighters'' when he left the UFC is now sh*tting on them by pretty much calling them undercard fighters, etc..

That guy always been about himself and himself only.

Every (by every, I mean every) professional organisations that have dealt with him don' have a lot of nice things to say about him. Neither the guys down his France that literally welcomed him when he was homeless.

I'm with Dana on this one. We all know Dana's a promoter and how they do but Francis is slicky man. The way he portrait himself in the spotlights from who he is seems like 2 different world.

DISCUSSSSS!!!
OF COURSE HE WAS RIGHT. I was singing this song when he first departed.

He was awesome, came from being a ditch digger, and it wasn't enough to become the baddest man on earth.

I was thinking some don king guy got into his head and influenced him.

Bottom line, the scenario always seemed ungrateful.

I'd like to see him back, but since it was blatantly obvious he was greedy, I have little sympathy going forward if things dont work out.

Francis is doing exactly what I expected. This is what I posted about the situation a year ago:
"Francis going elsewhere to make more money was fine. Francis pretending it was about helping other MMA fighters was a lie that people pointlessly praised.

UFC did good letting Francis go.

To my knowledge, PFL has not had to pay Francis yet. Which likely means PFL got discounted advertising signing him.

This was a win-win-win situation. UFC didn't overpay a guy, Francis made big money, PFL got cheap advertising.

Everybody wins, oh except other fighters, other fighters are still mostly screwed."

As a rule I don't believe any of Dana's lies. So it's always a bit surprising when Dana ends up to be telling the truth. But I agree with you here -- Dana was probably right about Francis.

he's exactly who i thought he was. I knew he was wahhhncis for years

hear me out on this, but a guy who would trip over himself to land the heaviest hammerfists ever on an already unconscious opponent is also a piece of shit outside of the octagon?
wow. I'm glad I was sitting down when I heard the news!

He honestly seems to me like the type of person to do a deal with satan himself if he could get all that he wanted. He seems to be incredibly greedy and sleezy.

Wtf are you yapping about? He left because the UFC underpays their fighters and he made a shit tons of money lol.

He is the only one that told the UFC to suck it and won. Those 2 boxing fights made him 10x the money hed have made in his entire UFC career lol
You know exactly what I'm talking about.

Why do you type like a retard right of the gate without reading anything? Are you like that with your girl? (do you have a girl?).

You sound retarded.

I said Francis fked everyone he came across. Now can you write a comment that make sense? Holly fk is this autism? I refuse to believe it because I have a nephew that is autism and holly shit he sound much sharper than you.

I'm impartial when it come to him and the PFL but dude he literally fked them up.... like honestly... and he shitted on the whole card.

I know people down in Paris. Legit people. Nobody have a good thing to say about Francis. Nada. Cyril is actually a really good guy IRL. Francis? not really.

He definitely seems a good-hearted person to me, but it's possible to be that and also be pretty selfish at times. He's of course extremely driven and motivated by his own ambitious goals so could be the type to go his own way and less of a team player. He was pretty friendless growing up, went against everyone's advice to try to be a boxer in Cameroon (they really thought he'd gone crazy), then journeyed to France without telling anyone. So he only achieved by going his own way and could be more likely to that in other situations, which can lead to success (HW champ, Fury fight) but cause problems with teamwork, co-operation and tolerance for those who don't align with his goal.
Ofc I dunno.

Dude look at his history with the owners of all big MMA organisations. Nobody have a nice thing to say about him. That guy left alot of young fighters behind....

From all I'm hearing... Francis is not that guy man. He's not the guy that come from that life and all. Because the first place he been was in France. And he fked ALOT of people over there.

Honestly I'm not a fan of Lopez (his coach) but after hearing stories man.... I connect the dots.

Gane, Imavov and all of them have been more than welcoming to Francis. Imavov have sparred alot of time with him.

The problem is that Francis is always pretending that he’s not doing it for his best interests. It’s disingenuous. He doesn’t give a shit about anyone but himself.

But I agree, do what makes you happy. Just don’t be a manipulative liar about it
Couldn't of said it better. You nailed it sir.

His reasoning for not attending the Pfl africa was some bullshit, hes an entitled diva, who got to leave the ufc as champ on account of Cyril Gane having a room temp fight IQ
He literally shit on every fighters that were fighting on that card. Boy I really hope someone confront him about that. But we all know journalists are not gonna ask him the hard questions. Dude is a POS.

If I'm from Africa, black or white or purple, I would be highly disappointed in him tbh. DDP is repping Africa day in and day out... then look at Francis....

I wish people would have the chance to have a 2 minutes chat with Gane because the guy is the sweetest, good-hearted guy you'll probably ever meet. If he and Imavov were angry at Francis, it's a red flag.

I just hate the way he try to act as if he's doing it for the fighters lol. Dude you just shit on everyone that fought on that card. You shit on your first coaches that took you in when you were homeless.

You then shit on the whole team that helped build you.

Sorry man I'm really not a fan of Francis. And I hope the UFC re-sign him because I think both Aspinall and Jones make quick work of him.

Its like his pr team and his personality are two different things. Thats wild, never happened before.

Francis is done, he's 38. His days are numbered. I understand why he went to boxing. It was his lifelong dream to be a professional boxer and he reached that goal and made a lot of money. So he can retire if he wants. It really doesn't matter what he does now, besides him going back to the UFC miraculously.

He lied about his age, he is about 43 years old, trust me.
