Why Fedor is the UNDISPUTED GOAT

I rank Fedor at the top.

When it comes to him and Anderson there can be no disputing they both fought their primes in the #1 org's of their day.

That however is where the similarities stop. Fedor fought in the toughest division of his org where most of the top fighters in MMA fought and honed one another as they tried to earn a crack at him. Only Pride's lhw division was in contention with it at the time.

Anderson fought in the UFC's weakest division where none of the top fighters in the world fought (outside Hendo's brief drop). Only the UFC HW division was in contention with it at the time.

That matters and matters a lot.

Fedor fought cans in pride man. Never fought Barnett.

Are you calling the Pride HW division better than the Pride Middleweight division?

Fedor is definitely ahead of Silva and GSP.

Fighting former champs means nothing, fighting top ranked opponents means much more.

GSP and Anderson trump Fedor with ranked wins, which is the most important stat.

Fighting 'ranked' opponents sounds so scientific, doesn't it?
AT NO time was Dan Hardy ever the 4th best WW in the world, or in the UFC.

Fedor = GOAT

Michael Jordan, Alexander Karelin level athlete.

If you are constantly fighting against top competition, finishing the fights become harder, so it sorta skews the metric.

GSP only fought marginally better comp than Anderson at least. That marginal difference in comp doesn't make up for the never being able to get a finish.

I believe they have more ranked fighter wins, but it`s not a trump.

Fedor beat ranked fighters like Arona, Babalu, Schilt, Herring, Nog twice, Randleman, Coleman twice, Crocop, Sylvia, and Arlovski.

beating 12 top ten heavyweights/light heavyweights is not bad at all.

Arona, babalu and the second Coleman fight they were all ranked in the LHW division.

What's impressive about out striking Damien Maia? Or subbing Chael Sonnen?
The fact that they were top 10 MMArtists, unlike Ogawa and Ishii. Their credentials are as relevant as Lee Murray's heist skills.

So you think Fedor is the best because he has the best wins?

GSP has more top 5 wins than Fedor and Anderson combined (I think)

so........

Do you know anything? Barnett declined a fight with Fedor in PRIDE retard. Then they were supposed to fight at Afflitcion but Barnett got busted jesus...

25-2 with the most top 10 and top 5 ranked wins of any fighter.
And probably most wins against other ranked p4p at time of fight.

matt hughes was a can? i was talking bout silva

gsp tapped to strikes from a can

I've seen a lot of people call Fedor nothing but a can crusher, unless you're a total n00b, you'll know these facts and why Fedor is considered the undispited GREATEST OF ALL TIME.

http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f2/fighters-quotes-about-fedor-1054990/

Notable wins:

Former UFC HW Champions:
-Mark Coleman
-Kevin Randleman
-Tim Sylvia
-Andrei Arlovski
-Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

Former K1 Champions:
-Mark Hunt
-Mirko Crocop
-Semmy Schilt

Former Olympians:
-Matt Lindland
-Naoya Ogawa

There's nobody else in this game that has defeated as many champions of various disciplines as Fedor. Even the top p4p fighters list Fedor as their #1 (Cain, Aldo, Barao, etc.)
There's really no argument unless you're a hater.

Clearly it's disputed.

Forrest Griffin 3 fights before fighting Silva

(Yes he lost to Evans via tko, but Forrest looked great early, winning the first 2 rounds.

then....

Forrest vs Silva

The Forrest win for Silva gets too often discredited. Forrest was never elite, but for a period of time was definitely a top LHW, and good fighter that was tough and well rounded. He gave 3 top dogs at lhw fits before fighting Anderson (Rua, Rampage, Rashad) then Anderson treated him like a child and embarrassed him (bad moment for me).

Anderson made a RECENT lhw champ, and top 5 ranked LHW look like he never fought before.

Elite win IMO because it was in insanely impressive fashion over a good fighter.

(Please take note i have no bias towards GSP, Jones, Silva or Fedor that's just how i rank them, its subjective and all are legends, i think they are interchangeable tbh)

I find it hilarious that you're in every Fedor thread downplaying what he did. If only he was 135er.
I find it hilarious that people think outgrappling a K1 champ is notable. If only he was Sean McCorkle.

forrest was a slow lhw, just like bonner(forrest was way better than bonner). if you thought he had anything for silva before that fight happened, i'm sorry

Fedor definitely has more quality wins than Anderson. He also has fewer losses.

Simply saying it doesn't make it so. Nog and CC are his elite wins. Sylvia and Arlovski are top tier wins. Then its.......40 yr old Mark Coleman, shadow of his former self Randleman, Heath Herring, Semmy Schilt, and Mark Hunt.

I'm not seeing all of these incredible wins you are referring to...
