Why does soccer not crack down on diving?

It's what made me stop watching soccer,i cant stand that pussy ass role playing shit.

miami cheat are doing this, glad they are losing.

I watchh NFL and get really fucking bored. Itry, I really try. I get so fucking bored though, 4 seconds. Somethinh happens. And again.

I just don't get the athletic system of going for it and then you're not allowed to anymore.

I hate watching the NFL live due to all the ads, it does my head in.
I usually download the game later etc.

every sport has its weaknesses and diving is one of for football(soccer).

I guess it is harder because the ref needs to be in good position. There is a youtube video of Neymar diving. They show a real time one and a slo mo one. Sometimes in the real one I cannot tell. Especially if I am not in front of the player. Yet in the slo mo one it is very obvious.

I am sure you can fine them afterwards. Still wouldnt be the same as handing a yellow card on the spot.

Going to tell you anywhore. Amserican Matt Clack was sat next to another bloke called Matt Clack. Long story short they stayed in touch and our Matt Clack invited UK Matt over for a holiday. Turns out he's an Arsenal fan. So Matt Clack UK got to watch Arsenal at out house being a friend of other Clacks who were Arsenal fans. That bit went wong.

Forgot to mention they were sat together on a flight.

One of the things americans always fail to see is not all diving is diving.

If your feet are rooted when someone tackles you, it could easily fuck up a knee or ankle, sometimes you need to "roll" with the tackle to prevent injury and then people wrongly call it dives just beacuse they dont see contact or the tackle was fair.

Its a sport whene even the most minimal tackle could fuck up a career. Even NFL players talk how its better to aim at the upper body than the lower body with the restrictions they are putting on tackling and hits.

The MLS actually put a rule in place in 2011 against diving, and each game is video reviewed for dives after games. It amazes me how much diving goes unpunished with this system, but at least they're taking sincere baby steps. They've fined some players $1K (that'd be like a $15K-$30K for most NBA players, relatively) and even suspended a few players, I think.

More than the NBA can say. When did basketball become a girl's sport? I can't even root for Lebron to rout Kobe's legacy beyond a controversy that even Laker nuthuggers can't deny, anymore, he's such a pussy with that flopping shit (and the cry faces...my God).

i dont think people having a problem with rolling with a collision and getting up. It's the rolling around on the ground like you blew your knee out that is lame.

It has absolutely nothing to do with referee positioning. Nothing at all. It has everything to do with the fact that the refs, fans, players, and administrators have tolerated this craven ignominy to become part of their sport. There's a very simple way to prevent this: don't tolerate it. Shame it. Punish it. Fine the hell out of people.

Soccer has a long hill to climb. Meanwhile, the NBA merely needs to stop its slide. Yet, IMO, the MLS and the Premier League are doing a much better job addressing the problem from their remarkably more dire position than the NBA (I won't comment on the Conmebol or other leagues I've breezed through on the channel...ick).

It's fucking disgraceful. It's an embarrassment. It's weak.

Premier League > MLS
From what I've seen, I don't think so. They're the two best about playing straight up that I've seen, but I rarely see flops in the MLS. At the very least the MLS is equally tough, and this probably reflects a cultural value system in the USA.

It's funny because then the Champion's League comes along and the La Liga guys are diving all over the fucking place. There was a terrible one by Atletico in the Final. That one sucked because I had to swallow it because there isn't a chance in hell I would ever root for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are some of the most notorious floppers in the history of the sport lol

Do you even Serie A?

there is gonna be a lot of diving in the world cup, there always is.
the worst countries are the south americans, followed by the latin ones.
these players are trained to dive from an early age, but they call it 'drawing the foul.'
they see it as a legitimate part of the game unfortunately.
i'm not saying pommie players don't do this too, but nowhere near as much. it's now part of the premier league much more since the overseas players started playing in it.

the thing is hate is when a player may get tapped on the chest or somewhere, but the way they react is to start rolling around clutching their head to convey to the ref that they've been struck really hard in the bonce.
its cheating, simple as that.

tbh i never get that excited by the world cup anymore. i'll watch the aussie and english games but thats about all.
the first lot of matches are quite often boring and 'safe.' its much better later on in the competition.
