Why Do So Many Dislike Amanda Nunes?

Don't get me wrong; Nunes isn't particularly likable or interesting as a personality. Nor is she sexy like many of the more popular female fighters are.

However, neither is she annoying nor does she say anything stupid. For me, she is a benign personality, arousing no great love but no great hatred, either.

And considering the wide latitude and love given to outright odious WMMA personalities who ARE annoying and DO say many stupid things, like Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, Joanna J, and Cris Cyborg, it's weird that I have come across many comments stating how much they hate Nunes and hope Cyborg (who I love as a fighter, but whose personality is much worse) destroys her.

Anyone have an explanation?

She isnt disliked. She's Mighty Mouse status where people just don't care. It would actually be better for her popularity to be disliked.

I could possibly have misjudged it, but going through articles on various MMA sites, I was rather surprised by how disliked she was by fans.

It has to be personality-driven too, since as a fighter, she is easily one of the most exciting females out there.

She has some haters, but not alot.

Some are mad because she beat Rousey.
Some are mad because she beat Tate.
Some are mad because she beat Holm.
Some are mad that she's the champion and isn't the typical "eye candy".

When did she fight Holm?

She's a great fighter but reason been she's ugly and no personality that's why her main event has lowest PPV point ever that's why she got no coverage when she fought Ronda. That's WMMA for you where bimbo's like PVZ gets so much attention and great fighters like Nunes gets hate. It took Cyborg so long and handed out so many beat downs to get some hype going.

I personally respect her a lot and will which her fight.

I like Nunes tbh, but I get it.

He's confident, arrogant, has a chip on her shoulder, is not pretty, and is a woman. It's a bitter mixed drink.

She lost the rematch against Valentina but was gifted the decision and proceeded to post like 20+ posts on social media mocking Valentina, saying “and still” with a pic of her landing one punch through out the whole fight with laughing emojis, and other posts that made it obvious she didn’t truly believe she won the fight and felt insecure about it.

When Nicco pulled out of against Valentina she tweeted @ Shevchenko laughing and mocking her post fight interview from their last fight. Shevchenko lives in her head rent free as she knows she didn’t win that fight and can’t help but continue posting about her all the time. It’s incredibly off putting and just bizarre.
