Why Do So Many Dislike Amanda Nunes?

When she pulled out of the Valentina fight at the last minute literally I immediately started rooting against her

I went to take a nap in vegas at 1pm day of the fight, woke up at 2:30pm and the whole fight card had changed. I didnt care cause I was there to see whittaker but it still kinda sucked.

EDIT: Same time the year before, same thing with jon jones. I dont hate him though so super double standard.

Ah, that explains it. Yeah, I would encourage checking out Nunes' other fights; she hits hard and finishes her opponents in brutal, devastating fashion. The only other female fighter who does that is Cyborg. Nunes, however, has done it against better competition.

I guess we will see about Nunes-Cyborg; I have a decent-sized bet on Nunes at a silly +240 line, so I'm obviously hoping it happens.

I think most people don't care about her. Exciting fighter as far as women go, but bland as toast.

To be fair tho she did bless us with the rousey fight. She has paid her debts for eternity in my book and herb dean will never be forgiven for not allowing her to KO Ronda into oblivion

She isn't as popular as other women for the reasons you say, but I don't see many people really "disliking" her as such. Lack of interest maybe, which is crazy cause she is a dominant champion and one of the few truly exciting WMMA fighters.
 
Either of the three:

Ronda Rousey fan
Nunes cold excuse(?)
Cyborg call out and then stalling.
 
I like how she adds y to things like fighty and belty
 
cyborg is gonna crush her is all im gonna say

we'll see why she cuts to fight at 135 while cyborg needs a 145 division (which is empty)

Tbh I don't like her face...she looks wayyy better with the mask on

Excellent post. I must admit, it's difficult for me to pinpoint why I hate her also. Although the hate for her increased a lot when she pulled out of that fight with a sinus excuse.

Her biggest rival is probably Shevchenko, and maybe we like her a lot more, that's why. There 2nd fight, it was trash. Nunes had the size & reach advantage but played a safe, tagging game. I think that this is a legit reason to hate on a fighter. Sure, they're out to not lose but they're also entertainers looking to make $$$$$ by fighting. And it's proven that this is the most important factor, to entertain the fans.....as this is reflected through the dismal PPV buys that she generates.

Another factor for WMMA, unfortunately is, sex appeal. She's just too butchy. This is the truth whether most dudes who watch WMMA wants to admit it or not. There are other lesbian fighters, but they still have a certain amount of sex appeal.
 
I have not sen any hate against her. She is one of The few woman fighter i like to watch fight
 
Because the UFC decided to market her like shit(after they failed to market her period) when the original Valentina rematch fail through. Go back. All the hype was she has no gas tank, she will lose in the later rounds, Valentina is a Aryan goddess. So Nunes beat the point fighter at her own boring game. Valentiner Gustafshevnchenko threw an entitled, delusional hissy fit and people have been shitting on Nunes every since
 
Don't take the halfwit opinions of the women-hating incels on Sherdog as an accurate representation of the real world MMA fan base.

More MMA fans like Nunes than dislike her.
