Why do people care about fighter pay?

People care about fighter pay because people care about fighters. It really is that simple.

I think it's silly for people to criticize the UFC over fighter pay.

We've seen so many examples of organizations that go bankrupt. Many of them paid their stars more than the UFC, but obviously the math didn't work out or they'd still be around.

The UFC seems to be the only org that makes sound financial decisions and their longevity is proof of that.

What the fuck are you taking about? I never said that should be paid what the top guys get. They just shouldn't get 15k/15k a fight.

I don't think it's unreasonable to say that the lower end guys should make a bit more than they do

its a bit silly really. caring about the pay of someone who most likely earns more than you as it is. akin to football (soccer) fans caring about how much money their club has and where they spend it. you know, club fans saying "we" won and what not. worry about your own 9-5 wagecuck pay not someone who does not know who you are

Better pay means you're gonna pull better talent in most cases

Don't buy the better athlete narrative. MMA is going to naturally attract better athletes due to it being an outlet for diminutive athletes to enter pro sports (size plays a major factor in other pro sports) and there's nothing demonstrating that boxing which has a higher end is attracting better athletes.
