Why do fighters have such horrible tattoos?

What is the point of the blackout tattoo Aspinall has? Who would want a tattoo of just solid black ink?
He may covered a previous tattoo up with solid black. Some people do blackouts. He just covered up his back, he probably should've just covered it up that way instead of just the solid black work. Now he's left with very limited choices like multiple passes with white ink and doing some kind of tribal/geometric/ornamental work to blend in the solid black work.

Gilbert Yvel had a good one with a tombstone with countries on it,the origin of the guys he knocked out on it

Sakara has awesome back tat

The fighters that get their own surname on their back always amuses me.
Its a good idea. for marketing. You always know who it is without having to be told.

I think the cover ups Aleksander got of his prison tats are pretty good. That tribal one that goes over his groin though... is just "..."

Conor's tattoos are actually pretty good quality for the style of work he got, the biggest issue is just that they don't flow that well together because they are different style of tattoos. His chest piece is more cartoon style clip art and his tiger on his stomach is more realism color piece and there's a lot of empty space in between. He put his last name as a filler on his abs but that should be much bolder and larger to blend and connect the tattoos better. You can blend different styles of tattoos if you add filler and connecting pieces that help blend everything and make the different styles flow well together. But Conors style doesn't seem to be connecting his tattoos. All his tattoos are separated and single pieces either small or larger. He isn't doing sleeves or full body suit style.

Why don't these annoying kids get off my lawn?

Different tatoos have different meanings to people, while some of them are as shallow as "that looked cool or thug" there's usually a deeper story.

I don’t remember that one but Yvel had some interesting tattoos for sure. One said “Real men don’t eat honey, they chew bees”

Quality post. McGregor’s tattoos are certainly kind of all over the place but anybody who says the quality is terrible simply doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Same with Lesnar and Fletcher. Their tattoos were obviously done by a professional and not in some scratcher’s living room.

lesnar's tats are still bad though. The back tatoo isnt even centered right, and the sword still does look like a veiny cock

Maybe slightly but not bad enough that I ever noticed. The “I Know What You Did Last Summer” hands are a little off after looking closer though:

I always associate Alexander with his back tattoo. My only criticism is that the baby's face seems out of place. Should have a more evil look.

I think tattoos are addictive because people seem to get the shitty tat’s covered with even more shitty tat’s. Then the cycle continues until they are broke and have to cry for more fighter pay to get even more tat’s.

I mean its a prison tatoo. Its a cool design idea but the actual art is very amateurish and crude. Did he cover this up since? I dont remember what it looks like now.

Not just fighters. I see them everyday, lots of people, their mommas and even grandmas with tats.
