Why do college students hate trump but love rappers

Because " I just fucked your bitch in some gucci flip flops" is hilarious.

Not to mention outlaw culture has always been, and always will be, popular with the youth.

From Al Capone to Chief Keef, people idolize gangsters.

There are many rap songs that mention Trump in a positive light.

So then why are they imitating them and adopting their drug use?

You're a fucking moron. Drug use is lower now than when all the popular musicians were white rockers. Also, that has nothing to do with electing them to office. Again, conservatives did that, not the left.

Hey bud. Stop getting irate. I didnt ask for drug stats relating to genre lmao. Thanks for proving my point that kids are influenced by musicians.

College kids are influenced by rappers over politicians. Plain and simple. They promote the rappers violence and mysoginy but criticize trumps. Calm yourself

Because college is just a dumber version of highschool in 2017. All of the exclusivity is gone. Over half the population will attend.

Rappers embrace misogyny, but Trump tries to condemn it while practicing it on the side; aka people don't like hypocrites.

Rappers promote mysoginy. Sexual assault/abuse, violence, and even racism.
Whatsup with the hypocrisy? And dont give me the "trump is supposed to be. Role model" bs. No one looks up to the president as a kid. They idolize musicians and attractive celebrities.
Rappers aren't in positions of power. The only thing they control is the dance rhythm.

why does it matter if someone says mean things when they're in a position of power?
drill sergeants say mean things yet they are incredible leaders

It depends on what you mean by power.

I would say they have an large influence on many people, so they have power.

As to the OP, children act and think as children.

Hopefully they grow up, however lots never do.

How is this a serious thread?

Not in the South.

No there they prefer traitors and slavers.

Because drill sergeants only say those mean things in a very specific context.

thats retarded. you're picking and choosing so specifically anyone else who says mean things is excused. EXCEPT trump. you're blindly biased

Kids aren't taking drugs just because rappers do it, they do it cause:
peer pressure, drugs being part of our culture , being cool, drugs being enjoyable etc...and also cause some musicians do it.

You really think only people listening to hip-hop are taking drugs, and people listening to: metal, punk-rock, rockabilly, pop, hard-rock, blues, country etc.. aren't ? Drugs were prevalent in the 60s and there was hardly if any rap music back then.

Drugs isn't limited to rappers ; Layne Staley, Anthony Keidis, Hillal Slovak, Chris Cornell, Slash, Scot Weiland, Sid Vicious , Kurd Cobain, Shannon Hoon and many more musicians aren't / weren't rappers.

It's hypocrisy.

This thread is stuffed with comments about Trump being in a position of power. But "progressives" are coming from a moralistic standpoint. It's wrong to objectify women. Point blank, period.

And yet, whether or not the listen to rap music, they dare not criticize any minority for any reason.

Unless the minority happens to be conservative, in which case they're filthy race traitors.

If it was about minorities, then how do you explain Porn also getting a pass on staunch focused criticism? The porn industry is not dominated by minorities.

Having influence is not real power, imo. If I want a rapper to be irrelevant I can simply just choose to not listen to him. So the power is actually with the listener. I can't turn down the volume or press Next when it comes to the President.

The porn industry gets a lot of fire from feminist circles. Are you serious?

There are some who go along the lines of "people can do whatever they want with their bodies", but most, at very least, will argue that the porn industry needs to serious reform to end the abuse of actresses (they don't give a shit about the male porn stars).

If you're approaching it from the "progressive" stand point, then you wouldn't even be concerned with standards and principles.

First off:
What the heck is "the Kangz agenda" . I can honestly say this is the first time I am hearing such a phrase.

Second:
Lots of White musicians and non-rappers take/took drugs, so why are you trying soo hard to pin drug taking on rappers .

None of these artists are/were rappers : Layne Staley , Slash , Kurt Coban , Hillel Slovak , Anthony Keidis , Scot Weiland , Chris Cornell , Amy Winehouse , Ozzy Osbourne , David Bowie , Elton John , Jerry Garcia , Bob Marley, John Lennon and many many more.
