Why didn’t o’malley’s knockdown against yan count?

Did you think that when you watched the fight with your eyes? Or did you think that after reading all the 'stats' they had to come up with after the fact to make it less of a robbery?

I remember thinking OMG, I may have lost that F-ing bet. I thought it was one of the easier bets, so I was worried when the fight ended. When they announced O'Malley won I was not surprised.....disappointed but not surprised. It was close, but I can see how O'Malley won.

I think this is the correct take on that fight. That was suppose to be a win for Yan, but a fight for which we realized O’mailey definitely had the skill set to compete at the top. He just needed to work on his defensive grappling and so on and so forth.
If you look at Sean’s body language at the end of that fight, you can tell Sean thought he lost that fight.
Fun fight regardless of the outcome. I would be interested in a 5 round rematch.
If I am honest, it's the first time I have really believed the robbery things and the UFC trying to create outcomes in fights.

It was the start of the UFCs downfall for me. They got a guy a win he didn't deserve and then let him sit out for months to fight the champ in the best circumstances possible.

I still watch, but I no longer tune in for every card religiously. There are too many poor decisions, the product is over saturated and they have shown clear biases towards specific fighters/styles and personas. They aren't getting more PPVs out of these guys, they are just losing long time fans who follow the sport instead of specific fighters. They are setting it up so you have to be undefeated and the best or you aren't worth watching unless it's out of hate. I just want good fights and can enjoy a fighters skills regardless of the outcome.

Yan/O'Malley and Pimblett/Gordon were essentially back to back as well. They aren't exactly subtle about it.
