Why did you guys used to hate DC back in the day

As a fighter I love DC, I watched him win the Strikeforce tournemant and was impressed. Then he came to the UFC and ran shit for a good while 'til the Stipe back and forths and Jon losses. But even in those fights he was impressive. As a commentator he is a bit annoying and as a guy he is a bit annoying. But overall he's an ok dude. So to answer your question I don't hate him and I think most people only started disliking him after his losses to Jones and his commentary gig.
 
The premise of your question is false (not everyone "hated" DC). That means you're dumb and your thread is useless.

I like him... Great Fighter , even better Company Man. I can actually see TKO making him the face of the UFC after Dana moves on...

I've always been a big DC guy. Given what he has gone through in his llfe, to be able to compete and not just give up on everything is amazing. He has gone through some very unfortunate adversitiess that very few people would've been able to handle, much less become a world champion after.
 
I didn't hate him as a fighter. I don't hate him now. That said, I find his Chael impression extremely gay.
 
I'll always be an advocate for DC being top 10 all time, but he was and still is really corny. If he fought Jones a third time, he'd still get booed mercilessly.

Everyone’s covered most subjects the only one I would mention isnDC the commentator is a big teddy bear. DC the fighter was a grizzly bear and you know how it goes when fighters smack talk. If you see the clip of what he said to Ryan bader at a post fight conference (albeit well deserved comments) you’ll see why it harbored some reaction from fans at the time. He was kinda an aggressive personality until the post retirement era where he may be the most likeable persona in ufc history

I think we can make an educated guess. In my opinion, if Khabib got anywhere near Jones amount of title defenses, it would be because of how weak lightweight had become. Charles Oliviera and Dustin Poirier are top lightweight fighters right now, but couldn’t even make it as featherweights mere years prior. It is what it is. People hate me for saying it, but Khabib fighting at welterweight is where he could’ve actually shown his true level of greatness.
 
Prime DC is what keeps prime Fedor awake at night. He goes to show how good Jones was/is… love the guy (no homo)

I never hated DC. Dude was like Fedor, he was undersized dominating guys. His obsession with Jon Jones is what irritated me tho. Dude wouldn't shut up about what Jon Jones was doing.
 
I was a fan of DC since I saw him in Strikeforce. The way he ragdolled Barnett was something else.
