Disclosed income =/= all income
Rory doesn't like the amount he is getting paid. He thinks he deserves more. He wants to test free agency. Your comment is shit.

True, plus he is Canadian, and UFC has very few Canadians stars now, he is a big star for them in terms of that market.I'm surprised Rory isn't earning more. Been on top for a while and has a pretty good following.
He probably is unhappy and he very well may deserve more, whatever he is making. All people are saying is that it is pretty unlikely Rory is only getting 40k to fight and that he has a contract set up to pay him less as he continues to fight.Rory doesn't like the amount he is getting paid. Those sites aren't accurate. I hate when you people post them as a source...As of six months ago his next worth was approximated at 1 million dollars so I'm sure there is more to his contract than what we see for his disclosed show/win pay.

There are lots of reasons a contract may drop (structured for tax-purposes, up-front signing bonuses, etc) other than he and his manager signed a contract to make less each fight than he made prior. That wouldn't make sense.
Well it's hard to know what the market value is without knowing other people's contracts. But the way they played hardball with him and have him Wonderboy as the last fight on his contract when they knew he was unhappy tells me he probably has a legit beef. The UFC is hoping to make him look bad imo.Wether it's unlikely or not, it's the only figures people can comment on and even if Rory gets more money than that, he's still unhappy with it.
The sites go off reported income from tax returns and things like disclosed pay and endorsement deals and property. Forbes uses the same type of formulas.
Here is another site that just uses the disclosed pay/bonuses (since pay started being disclosed for fighters in 2004).

What are you basing your conclusion on that these methods aren't reliable?

Who knows. It's fucking ridiculous though. You're not gonna pay a guy who gave us the best fight of 2015 and who had his nose obliterated in the process?
How else do you expect Dana to buy a Ferrari to his son.??
