Why did Conor take the Khabib fight?

"nObOdY cAn jUdGe hIm fOr LoSiNg tO kHaBiB" that's the narrative his ass kissers took. That's his reason for taking the fight. Also khabib had the belt. It's less pressure losing to the champ than to get smeshed and lose your belt that way. His indentity is dependent on his championship status... Or at least it seemed that way back then.

This right fooking here.

He fought Khabib for the same reason he fought every other fight after his first Championship.. There was upside for him.

- Avenge his brother Lobov?
- Lightweight belt?
- promote Proper 12?
- Delusional, really thought he had a solid chance?
All of the above?

He suffered a humiliating defeat and is the main reason his arch nemesis has 50 million in the bank.

I personally think Conor sacrificed himself solely for Proper 12.

He did as well as anyone else didn’t he ?

If anyone has a punchers chance

1. Because he's a fighter.
2. Fighers get paid to fight each other.
3. Fighters want to be champions in general.
4. Some fights bring a lot of money.
5. Fighters are not cowardly couch potatoes.

I thought that he fought his ass off that night. It’s just an incredibly difficult stylistic matchup for him.
I’m a big Conor hater, but it’s insane seeing all these fucking dweebs act like he isn’t a top 2 FW ever, and not resume or legacy wise, but skill for skill is a top5 lw

Khabib still beats him every time unless Conor connects before the fight goes to the ground. Let’s not forget that every fight and every round starts standing not on the canvas.
I don’t think Conor has the power to knock Khabib out. Khabib has a serious chin and his defense is underrated. Conor could potentially land a punch, but he would have to get close enough that Khabib would get a hold of him and the fight is pretty much over after that. I see no path of victory for Conor against Khabib.

Why don't you guys start some sort of therapy group. Get together once a week and discuss Conor and how much you guys hate him.

Whatever you do.. stop making these sad circlejerk threads

Delusional.

Thought he was elite.
Found out he wasn't
lol . he literally is and was most successful against khabib despite his willingness to go up in weight and before you say he isn't thats from khabibs camp

Wow.. Seriously, TS? You really wonder?
He took the fight because he tought he could win. It turned out he didn't, but he did win a round, and look competitive for a while, so it wasn't the worst striker vs grappler battle we have seen.
Conor also took other high risk fights that he didn't have to. It was kind of his thing, and one of the reasons he became so famous.

Rda and Dustin were much more successful... both had him in a submission....
Conor cheated his way out of 2nd round finish
