we just call that 'bean packed' around these parts. It's almost like they're living in a completely different economy. Because they come from a collectivist culture and don't mind cramming 12 people in a 2 bedroom apartment.
They're better at managing resources and combining effort. That doesn't mean the situation isn't fucked up.
Uncle Tom, datchu?Everytime some mofo comes at me with this shit, I ask why they don't just quit. Bug off with your punk ass whinning.
It could be so much worse ..
Slave mentality:They shoukd start thier own business and start exploiting people, if they don't like it.
You're not allowed to bring that up though. People get really upset when you remind them it isn't a level playing field. Imagine being so insecure you can't just enjoy your own success AND admit that you had more advantages than some people.

Uncle Tom, datchu?

This is a problem. One that usually gets swept under the umbrella of racism when it isn't. There's a long history of Corporations relying on foreign labor as scabs to undermine the rights of labor and undocumented Mexican labor is it's current iteration.Right? This is why hiring Mexicans, especially the undocumented ones are preferable since they rarely bitch or moan and have strong work ethic.
The people who I've heard this statement from are middle class folks. Which is why I mentioned it.There seems to be an underlying assumption here that everyone is middle class or has middle class options. It's the people making 9 bucks an hour that usually equate work with slavery.
it sounds like you don't have many interactions with the low level wage slavery class outside of them holding their tongue while they serve you.The people who I've heard this statement from are middle class folks. Which is why I mentioned it.
The types who argue that we're not free becuase we all follow the same plan: "go to school, get a job, work, get married, have kids, die, repeat I am free"
I work construction and I hear this often, mostly from a certain age group. I usually explain to them that they they get paid to work, "nobody is making you come here. If you're unhappy you should probably find something that does before its too late."
It's not slavery.
not all slavery involves a physical collar and being forced out into the field at the crack of dawn on the end of a whip.....to only see it like that is very narrow minded.....
if you pay 30% income tax, that roughly equates to working 3-4 months out of the year for free, who works for free doing what they dont want to be doing except a slave?
we are "free" so long as we live in the box of 10 million+ statutes and bylaws they pen us in with
we live in democracies which only equal freedom for the majority, this will become readily apparent the day mandatory vaccinations come into effect
if you have a pet, you are a slave owner
education, healthcare, suppression of technologies, governance, religon, media and other weapons of mass distraction are modern collars and yokes....
that our countries do not print our own monies and outsource it to the private banks of the world, is also another form of slavery for it creates a debt that can never be repaid
the list goes on and on .......people are easily pacified and placated by a few flashy shiny things, throw a set of tits into the equation and this slavery thing doesnt seem so bad ((to the majority))
yeah not all of us have the same opportunities in life and because of poor education we are left on our own to figure out that the whole spiritual ball of wax comes from what we ourselves "buy" into and what we give in exchange for what we bought..I feel you bro, but people can be their own worst enemies. Not everyone is born with the same opportunities, but at some point you got to look yourself in the mirror for where you are or aren't. Slavery in this modern world is more mentality than a real occurence. *Places were legit slavery is occuring excluded.*
