I mean an American actor.

We gave you Brits

Batman.
Superman!
Most Superheroes.

Hell we even gave you ABRAHAM LINCOLN!

And Bale is playing Dick Cheney!

I think we deserve a James Bond.

Some candidates:

my boy Leo of course.
RDJ would kill it although he is older now.
James Franco?

That's all i got.

Bond is British.

It's extremely difficult to do a convincing British accent.

Was thinking the same. It seems it's a lot easier for British and Irish actors to do convincing American accents than vice versa. Not to say there are aren't exceptions.

But people like Bale, if you didn't know he was Welsh, you might never know based on his performances.

Winslet- has masked her British accent very well in certain roles.

Colin Farrell does a great job often, given his thick accent.

There are many examples.

Trying to think of an American Actor that can do a good British accent.

Rdj does a good Aussie accent. Why not have a drunken racist bogan bond

I bet Jeffrey Wright could do a convincing British accent.

I don’t want to see Bond trade in his martinis and Aston Martins for a Bud Light and a Mustang.

Ello. Oyem from ayenglahnd.

See I just did it.

Tyrion did it. You trying to say Americans can't do english accents? What about RDJ in Holmes?

I think the only time I've heard an American pull off a British accent was Lake Bell in a romantic comedy called Man Up. So convincing I thought she must be British in real life.

There are tons of examples of otherwise competent actors botching a British accent.

Bales American accent in batman wasnt great imo. Was much better in Psycho although that was a cartoonist yuppie.

Tyrions accent is spotty, sometimes really bad. Besides, thats a Westerosi accent anyway.
