Why are Mighty Mouse and John Dodson headling UFC on Fox 6?

At UFC 48, however, Shamrock-Kimo (of all things) headlined over a heavyweight title bout. Hopefully that foolishness is a relic of the past.

it did good numbers, better than chuck/tito 1.. dana knew ken could sell..

Fact - John Dodson has more KO victories than Rampage in the last four years.

125 has to go, im sorry but if you are that small, gain some muscle and compete at 135.

Have you not heard what Dana always says. Title fights headline and it makes sense completely.

The division is barely a few fights old the challengers nearly all came from losing at bw. If hunt moved to shw beat james thompson then the winner of mccorkle-kongo and got a belt for it I would say the same thing.

Flyweight division is a few fights old in the UFC but has been well established outside of the UFC for years...how do you establish the division in the UFC? by burying its title fight on the prelims or by putting it out there as a main event on a FREE card on FOX for the world to see? WTF...use your brain...MM and Benavidez were both top 5 BWs, only losing to Cruz who is the current champion...if not for the Flyweight division theyd both still be top 5 BWs...dont even understand what point youre trying to make? every single division in the UFC is made up at least partially of fighters that lost in a higher weight class...this isnt some new phenomenon exclusive to Flyweights...where the fuck does James Thompson come into the discussion? at one point would the UFC ever sign a scrub like Thompson and offer him a title of any kind? what kind of horrible analogy are you trying to make...when was Thompson ever relevant? MM and Benavidez are top fighters at 2 weight classes...Thomspon was never the top of any weight class...Mark Hunt is another story...hes actually a legit fighter and if they somehow were able to create a SHW division i cant imagine how anyone would have a problem w/ Hunt being considered for a SHW title fight...hell, people are calling for Hunt/JDS fight now...another 2-3 wins and thats a very real possibility...

Agreed. This fight is the one I want to see the least. I don't care if its a title fight

Mighty Mouse and John Dodson are headlining because it is a title fight thus the more important fight.

Mighty Mouse does as well and a number of submission wins.

Rampage would have beat up all their opponents in much better fashion. So I don't get the point.

b-b-b-b-b-but flyweights cant finish fights...

not sure exactly how many flyweight fights there have been in the UFC so far, maybe 10? and at least half of them have all ended in finishes...people love spewing falsehoods yet the facts never support their idiotic stance

Pettis and Cerrone match is more important and probably gonna be more exciting than Rampage and Glover so why isn't that the co-main?

so headlining slots are awarded to the guy that could hypothetically beat up guys in smaller weight classes? WTF? not sure i understand your point...rampage has no belt therefore rampage doesnt headline events in which titles are being defended...very simple forumula to understand...

Acting like knocking out 125lb men is somehow an accomplishment worthy of praise is a bit beyond me I guess. If Rampage faced those same opponents it would have been a complete ass whoopin. The little men getting uppercut over the cage and such.

That is why I don't get why people compare knocking out 125lb men vs 205lb men.

because dana is trying to stick to his guns by saying 125 was a good move and he's trying to win the fans over with them, which wont happen

Cause its a title fight?? lol Title fights get people's attention.

Also Rampage won't come motivated or in shape and no one knows Glover.

Is this a serious post?

Two 140 pound men fighting then one getting a knockout is more difficult and statistical impressive then two 215 pound men doing the same. Not sure what Rampage hypothetically fighting smaller men has to do with anything.
