Why Americans sucks in rugby?

Lol my post was stupid?

You're trying to act like Ireland would be good at Hockey if they played it when the fact is Ireland sucks at everything.

What exactly do you get out of talking shit on the internet?

The Irish roster featured four Olympic medalists from London 2012, namely defending boxing champion Katie Taylor in the women's flyweight division, boxers Michael Conlan and Paddy Barnes (bronze in 2008 and 2012), who was selected as the nation's flag bearer in the opening ceremony, and race walking veteran Robert Heffernan, who became the first Irishman in history to participate in five Olympics

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

How so?

By pointing out how silly your statement was?

You seem pretty upset and now your just calling people names.

How exactly is my statement 'silly'? That's exactly what most of the responses here are.

I would hardly say I am upset, but it is extremely tedious every time rugby (or another non-american sport) is mentioned to have read the same comments about how "it's for poor countries", or it "sucks", is "gay", it's for "d-level athletes" etc. Yawn...Those comments are what I am talking about, hence some of you guys. Plus now I have to hear dumb jokes about how shit my country is. There are plenty of reasonable responses to what is really a pretty stupid question, ie. that rugby isn't popular at all in america.

Also @Panmisiek american football might have been developed from rugby way back in it's earliest days but the two sports are so far removed from one another that they really aren't that similar at all. Other than the basic fact that there is tackling, touchdowns/tries and field goals/conversions there isn't much similarity.

Is Ireland good at anything besides Domestic Assault?

We don't even send our D-Level athletes to play that sport and yet we're still ranked 16th in the world. Lmao
To be fair there's only around 16 countries in the world that really play rugby. Still around 15 more than american football mind you.

I don't think I know anyone that's ever even played rugby.
I have. They were all short fat guys that couldn't make the football team.

Lol, yes, that's why.

Erm yes, as a general point neither of those sports are remotely popular in those countries. You can't be good at something no one even plays, ie. USA and rugby. Obviously both are still shite at soccer which is popular though, for example.

Probably because no one plays rugby in the states. Why is Australia so bad at American Football?!?!

And yet we still dont give a shit lmao!

I know two guys that play american football funnily enough, both useless fatties that couldn't make the rugby team. It's almost as if the people that play sports that aren't popular in a country tend not to be the elite.

Lmao @ rugby. No one wants to play that poor persons sport.
