Who's worse on commentary?

Goldberg was great, DC is decent but a bit too much of a company man. I never understood why they cut Goldberg as the main commentator in the UFC. The newer guys who replaced him like Jon Anik have never had the same gravitas as Goldberg did.

Cormier is a fat wreck. Doesn’t do his homework, is always shitfaced, freaks out during every stoppage, and just sounds terrible in general.
 
DC is knowledgeable, but his attempts at comedy and his side convos/comments are over done and get super annoying. Goldie was not as knowledgeable and said a lot of dorky things that made you scratch your head.

I don't know about this one. Gun to my head, Goldie got a go on knowledge alone.
 
They do different jobs. Goldberg is Anik. DC holds experience and wisdom, like it or not, thay makes him way better than Goldie. Goldie is a traffic cop and ad reader on the broadcast

DC is at worst with Joe.

Joe has been checked out for years, and together they get into some dumb dad energy.
 
I'm really getting tired of DC lately and him and Rogan together are getting on my nerves. The constant yelling about a fighter being hurt when they show no signs is maddening. If a fighter didn't stumble quit screaming "THAT HURT HIM!".

UFC's official YouTube put up a KO compilation and half of the clips were ruined because of DC shrieking about the (supposedly late) stoppages.
 
Honestly haven't listened to these guys in years. Will just put on someone doing commentary of the fight on the tube if I need background while watching.
 
Happy to see Goldie getting the respect he deserves.

I absolutely loved the energy he brought to the mic.

Also somehow lost to history being rewritten by the UFC is the tremendous amount of extra work, promos and independent research Goldie did.

He got to the location several days early for every card and made it a point to meet with EVERY fighter/team on the card, talk to them personally and take notes so that he would have relevant anecdotes.

Then... he would go to his hotel room with a laptop and cut all the promos.

Then he would do every second of the broadcast.


They probably pay at least 5 assholes to still not do the job that Goldie did as well by himself.


I'd be hitting the coke and Adderall too with a workload like that and having to "be on" as much as Goldie did.

Dude doesn't get half the respect he deserves and it is fucking criminal that a company that couldn't replicate him in 10 years never gave him his props and never gave him farewell or HOF.

Fucking Mask is in the HOF but not Goldie?
Fuck outta here...
 
DCs vocabulary has atrophied to the point that his catch all phrase for quite literally anything that happens ever in the octagon is "crazy".
