fucking miss goldberg, what a damn shame.

100% joe got him fired. never even had him on his podcast after all the shows they did together. fucking asshole.

goldberg brought the fucking feel. esp at the end, when the rock music plays and its goldbergs closing thoughts. that shit was iconic.

i hope goldberg knows how much hes valued by the hardcores.

i think he kinda did phone it in at the end, and that was probably his demise, but for the most part, the guy was solid.
If Joe had anything to do with him being fired, it was good to see him have to work with Cruz for a bunch of events who would shit on Joe every chance he got to the point it was just uncomfortable for all watching.

DC has some moments of good commentary but he just says wildly stupid shit sometimes, I think they need to ban him from being on the sauce when working, which is hilarious that it is something that even needs to be said for a professional job.

Rogan was a complete asshole to Goldberg towards the end of his run. Goldie would make a simple statement and Rogan would have to counter argue it every time. Like he couldn't let Goldberg get a point across, he would always conflict with what Goldie was saying. I noticed it more watching back old fights. Rogan has said Goldie is one of his closest friends, but I wonder how much he liked him and respected him as a commentator.

Commentators like DC, Bisping and Felder clearly bet on fights. I never got that impression from Goldie's commentary. It is very apparent in some fights they commentate and makes listening to it insufferable.

DC had Merab up 2-0 and when they showed the live odds of Yan as a -400 favorite near the end of the 4th, he was completely shocked and sweating that wager he placed.
Merab had 5 take down attempts during his first takedown attempt! A UFC first no doubt...

Goldberg is that friend of yours that is dumb as rocks but lovable at the same time and you always have fun hanging out with him.

DC is that friend that you can't spend more than a few hours with a few times a year otherwise he starts to annoy the shit out of you.

100% he was such a dickhead towards goldie at the end.

and to this fucking day, joe has never had goldberg on his dumbass podcast.

how's that for closest friends?

i 100% believe joe got goldberg fired, goldberg knows this. poor guy.

I never thought of that, but if Joe played a part in Goldie being fired, that's really messed up.

i recall him openly voicing his disdain towards goldie at the end.

joe has actual pull at the UFC too.

100% he got him fired under the pretense that they needed more knowledagble announcers.

and then they get the cardboard cut out that is anik, that random british bloke, and ex fighters.

DC is the worst. He's always giggling like a school girl or talking nonstop. What makes it even more annoying is he calls every PPV

DC is just a company man and he will hype up whoever the UFC wants to win but objectively Mike Goldberg is worse than DC. Don't forget "it takes a lot of energy to be a rockstar."

DC is bad enough, but him drunk while being Rogans echo is terrible. Also blatant bias ruins commentary. When both get on a bias roll it becomes painful to listen to. Even earlier on the card they were racing Duncan in trying to finish McKinney it was embarrassing.
