Who's worse on commentary?

Gotta pick one to see the results. Can't change vote afterward.

  • Daniel Cormer

  • Mike Goldberg

100% he was such a dickhead towards goldie at the end.

and to this fucking day, joe has never had goldberg on his dumbass podcast.

how's that for closest friends?

i 100% believe joe got goldberg fired, goldberg knows this. poor guy.

IIRC Rogan did an interview were he talked Goldie up and how he could never do his job.
I think they had worked together for 20 years.
Shortly after Goldie got canned. Rogan could not even post on social media wishing him good luck.
Not a word...
Telling about what kind of person Rogan really is.

exactly man, not one single good word about goldberg or thanks after he got the boot.

to me that was the tell tale sign that rogan got him fired.

I wouldn't be surprised.
I feel they really did him dirty.

back in the day WWE offered Goldie cash to do a no show at a UFC event.
Goldie said no thanks and went to work..

No loyalty from Rogan or the UFC.

man i dont think the UFC said a damn word when goldberg got fired.

could be wrong.

they did him so dirty, still use his iconic phrases from moments that mattered too.

dude should be in the hall of fame, and set for life for his contributions to MMA.

i remember the argument was bas and quadros was best commentary of all time. i think joe and goldberg was actually the best though.

They did not say a word, they just fired him.
I think Rogan took 2 years to finally mentioning Goldie...

I never understood the love for Bas and Quadros... Bas sang during the fights.
Prime Goldie and Rogan was entertaining.
it went downhill when Rogan started to not give a shit and probably was hung over or high during the broadcast.
Rogan have sucked for years and dont seem to give a shit about MMA.

i watch fights muted for years.
sometimes at second viewing i turn the sound on and it's like i'm watching a different fight, some of the comments are retarded.
turning the sound off was the best thing i've done for my fight viewing.

why is there a thread comparing the best & worst to ever do it I don't understand. weird ass poll

a damn shame.

i joined sorta of late in PRIDE, i think the first event i saw on PPV completely from beginning to end was body blow. but i did rewatch all, and appreciated stephen quadros too. I can see where the argument could be made 100%. i sort of liked mauro, but iunno. lol.

i agree to me joe and goldie was the best, had the most memorable moments, and when they clicked it was good. perfect balance. joe had the insight, goldberg had the voice.

lately joe is just a characticture of himself. relying on the same old addages, sayings, insights, nothing has changed. where as before you could tell he was taking the craft seriously. he seems to be riding the wave of authority, despite the game massively changing. you can tell his fight analysis no longer represents what's actually going on, and he's not taking the time to learn. still though, id rather listen to him on a broadcast, than a cast without him.

DC and Rogan glazing zesty ass Talbott like he was a super hero in there was hard to listen to

Daniel Cormier never once referred to Travis Lutter as the Michael Jordan of BJJ. The gaffes Goldberg made routinely insulted even casual fans' knowledge of the sport.

Doesn't mean DC isn't a shit-tier commentator who fills the dead air with biased fanboy meaningless chatter at the expense of his crew's insight and our entertainment.

I’d rather listen to Goldy be 100% wrong than Cormier being 50% correct
I think Goldy was worse, and I also agree with this. If the only thing you offer is knowledge and you're 50% wrong, at least have someone in there Rogan can correct when he's wrong.

DC and Rogan are the drizzling shits, but Goldberg needed canning too.

Strangely Rogan had his clearest Goldberg moment ever last night with the "Pantoja is the greatest guy alive" idiocy lmao

Dc for praising merabs takedown spamming

400 takedown attemts that lead to maybe 5 legit takedown.

i was a goldie hater, but ANYONE would be better than DC at this point

DC is the worst guy to do commentary ever in any sport. He’s either a troll or just a stupid person

I like DC, I think he's hilarious and a nice human. And he has credibility. So I can kind of ignore his one-eyed takes. Joe I find just as bad, but with no redeeming qualities.

IMO the UFC has yet to have a single great commentator, probably because anyone with any integrity wouldn't pass the suck off Dana test and most the fighters are kind of dumb.

All of the commentators are heavily biased towards their own fighting style. DC glazes anything wrestling related or praises the person coming forward, Joe acts like any submission attempt is locked in, Cruz glazes movement. Felder might have the least biased takes, but his personality is meh.

They do all add insight here and there though, with the exception of Rogan. But it's usually limited to one aspect of MMA.

You'd think a more well rounded fighter like DJ or GSP, who also don't have insufferable egos, would do a better job.

Haven't seen him on cageside commentary in a very long time.
He's busy tweeting about how the Pantoja stoppage was BS because fighters should be able to choose to fight extremely compromised (and ignoring the fact Pantoja was immediately trying to wave the fight off)

I will never understand how people like Goldberg. That man was legit fucking retarded.
